Last night was the second episode of The Ultimate Fighter 7: Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest. Just like last week it consisted of 8 fights (5 complete/3 highlight) and plenty of interjections from the title characters. (And Dana Bleeping White)

The highlight of last night’s show was a vicious knockout by Matthew Riddler. His opponent, Dan Simmler, took it on the chin and took a long time to get up. Simmler was left moaning and unresponsive before being carted to the hospital. Simmler awoke from the KO not knowing where he was.

Also of note was Steve Mazagatti’s unique way of announcing winners: “Moving into the house with a rear-naked choke…” Personally, I think that premise sounds much better than that of the new Flava Flav show.

Next week Forrest and Rampage will choose teams. They will get to choose between:

MMAinstream Acceptance: Saturday mixed martial arts is going to be on network television. Sure it’s only a show about MMA and not an actual fight card, but still.

Oh yeah – Only heavy drinkers/insomniacs will be seeing it though – “Srikeforce on NBC” is debuting at 2am. A coveted time slot usually reserved for The Magic Bullet infomercial.
