Stephen A. Smith is Getting a Column!

Back in early December, sources told us that Stephen A. Smith was going to become a columnist in ESPN the Magazine. You vomited. It didn’t happen. For four months! Earlier this week, Screamin’ A announced on his blog that he indeed will be writing columns for ESPN the Magazine. Guess our joy on getting this “story” right is somewhat muted by two factors: 1) We just blew out our shoulder (again!) patting ourselves on the back, and 2) there’s a chance the Mag will put Stuart Scott’s “two-way” on one page, and SAS on the next.
Next up: ESPN the Magazine “blog” editors – are we going to have to wait four months for the Amanda Beard sex column video, too?

ESPN the Magazine is awful. I had a free 1 year subscription, and when I moved, I didn’t even have it forwarded to my new place.

Ah, but did you hear that from now on, every ESPN the Mag is going to come with a cd that will be called ‘Stephen A. Smith’s Five Loud Minutes’? Five mintues of Screamin’ Stephen talking about everything from basketball to birth control. Catch it on newstands now!
