ryan to the falcons…say hey to 3 more years of crap.
April 26th, 2008 at 3:31 PM
McFadden to the Raiders. Reminds me of this piece of hate mail:
“thinking the Raiders will take McFadden. Are you remotely familiar with the current rb’s on their roster?”
The few times I’m right, it feels good.
April 26th, 2008 at 3:33 PM
@spence: You fucked our draft ALL UP.
April 26th, 2008 at 3:33 PM
Schfter on NFL Network: Saints are offering 3 picks (this year’s 1, this year’s 2, and another pick next year) to the Chiefs just so they can go up and get Dorsey.
If you’re the Chiefs, you have to do this, right?
April 26th, 2008 at 3:36 PM
yea, you gotta do it, PFT says chiefs are keeping dorsey tho.
April 26th, 2008 at 3:36 PM
Nick…ATL fucked it up.
April 26th, 2008 at 3:37 PM
McKelvin at no. 6 to the Jets? RRRREEEAAACCCHHH
April 26th, 2008 at 3:39 PM
irish is so pissed ya’ll are watching the draft, instead of
jacking off tothe MagicApril 26th, 2008 at 3:40 PM
Newsday and ESPN radio were wrong…seriously, McKelvin? come on NY media.
April 26th, 2008 at 3:44 PM
I hope they take that corner.
April 26th, 2008 at 3:44 PM
FUCK
April 26th, 2008 at 3:46 PM
gholston is gonna suck
April 26th, 2008 at 3:47 PM
if he wasn’t goin to the Jets, they would be chanting “Roids Roids Roids”
April 26th, 2008 at 3:50 PM
Take corners, take corners.
I want Ellis.
April 26th, 2008 at 3:57 PM
I don’t usually watch much of the draft, but this 10 minutes between picks has really sped things up. It is now almost watchable.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:01 PM
God damn it.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:07 PM
What fun is mining nose gold if you can’t share it with the towns people.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:09 PM
He’s a “great character” guy “who doesn’t project out at you.”
Great. We just drafted David Eckstein.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:13 PM
Wow. Mayo to the Patriots this early?
April 26th, 2008 at 4:17 PM
Anyone else surprised by how docile the ESPN staff has been? Everyone LOVES every pick, every player.
Odd.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:21 PM
only pick they didn’t seem to like was Harvey
April 26th, 2008 at 4:24 PM
this draft sucks.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:31 PM
stewart is a great RB, don’t get me wrong, but travelle wharton is still your starting LT and chris williams was sitting there for you.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:31 PM
While you sheep are watching the draft, I’m watching the Red Wings DOMINATE the Colorado Avalanche. We just had a fist fight featuring McCarty!!
April 26th, 2008 at 4:33 PM
NFL in any form > NHL.
one thing i always wondered was why the NHL started wearing the road colors at home…i always thought it was cooler when the home crowd could see the different unis on a nightly basis.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:34 PM
@ sportsgal. Wasn’t even a good fight either. Did either player land? I’m starting to hate Pimp Cane.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:34 PM
gholston is gonna suck
Howard Cosell’s son Steve Cosell (his first name is Steve, right?) says Gholston may be the next Mike Mamula. Although I don’t remember Gholston fuckin up any broads in a nightclub.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:37 PM
gholston is a great athlete, but it was frustrating watching him roll over Wisky and UM when he wouldn’t register a tackle against Illinois and Indiana. so NYJ gets him despite the fact they have one of the worst DL’s in the NFL and he’s going to have blockers get a free shot on him, doesn’t matter who the other LB’s are.
chris williams is legit…he’s this year’s marcus mcneill, joe thomas and tony ugoh. awesome pick there.
im all drafted out tho.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:40 PM
one thing i always wondered was why the NHL started wearing the road colors at home…i always thought it was cooler when the home crowd could see the different unis on a nightly basis.
Spencer, the alt uniforms were never white, hence they were technically road unis. In fact, the NHL had this rule as far back as the 50s. Basically, up until the late 50s (or 60s), the solids were always the home unis.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:41 PM
@triston – pimp cane has had a less than stellar series so far. granted, he was sick the first game and is still probably feeling the effects… not sure why Q didn’t stick with Budaj until Theodore was 100%. He definitely won’t get the start for game 3.
@spence – since it’s no longer your birthday, I can now tell you to suck it.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:43 PM
Avs are running out of room in the penalty box
April 26th, 2008 at 4:44 PM
Anyone hear the Altanta Braves Chop music while the Cheifs are now on the board? Racist Emm Effers.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:46 PM
Most Chiefs fans are idiots. But do have good BBQ
April 26th, 2008 at 4:46 PM
Three guys in the box for the Avs would have elicited a “circle jerk” chant from the crowd if this was a college hockey game.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:50 PM
I think everyone on the bench are having a circle jerk for the Avs. And most of them have already finished because they appear sluggish, tired, and irritable.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:50 PM
haha i just turned on the yanks/tribe game…joe buck is giving updates of the NFL draft. as if it is that big of a deal that FOX needs to give pick by pick updates
April 26th, 2008 at 4:52 PM
@triston – Ha ha! I can understand being sluggish and tired, but irritable after a circle jerk? Does that mean someone miss-shot their load?
April 26th, 2008 at 4:52 PM
So is Mendenhall gonna fall to my Cowboys? God I hope so, he’s an Emmitt Smith clone, but faster.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:55 PM
@ sportsgal. Yes. And it was probably Forsberg. Which explains his pulled groin injury.
April 26th, 2008 at 4:56 PM
@ Tick, Why doesn’t anyone in Big D have faith in MB III as a feature back?
April 26th, 2008 at 4:57 PM
Hilarious! I think the Lions will take Mendenhall here.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:00 PM
And they take an OT instead… interesting.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:02 PM
He will be the feature back this year, but they really like to keep him fresh for the fourth quarter. When Julius was out this year, Barber wasn’t nearly as effective near the end of the game. Plus, the whole league seems to be going to a 2 rb system (which I hate for fantasy).
April 26th, 2008 at 5:05 PM
Is that Joe Flacco’s girlfriend? I don’t know what the crop is like in Baltimore but Ive gotta think there’s room for an upgrade now.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:08 PM
flacco has some beastly eyebrows.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:08 PM
@triston – NOW there’s room for an upgrade, but before? no way. he has a unibrow for god’s sake.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:10 PM
Well millions of dollars can get you one hell of a wax job.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:11 PM
Why is Sam Baker ranked so low? I’m assuming teams don’t think he has much upside?
April 26th, 2008 at 5:11 PM
and carolina TOTALLY redeems themselves
April 26th, 2008 at 5:15 PM
Tick…he’s not that athletic and doesnt have much of a mean streak.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:15 PM
I wasn’t in love with the Stewart pick, but trading up to get the last quality tackle makes this a quality draft for the Panthers so far.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:17 PM
Sportsgal: i just said to my roomate, what the eff is up with that unibrow?
Also, the hot chick coulda been his mom. I couldn’t tell. If so, Cougar alert!
April 26th, 2008 at 5:18 PM
What hot chick? there was an older blond (mom probably) and a brunette (a 6, maybe a 7)
April 26th, 2008 at 5:20 PM
Hat trick for Franzen!!!! YESSSSSSS!
April 26th, 2008 at 5:21 PM
@gonzo – seriously, it’s 2008, how do you not see you have a unibrow? If you’re too much of a pussy to get it waxed, then at least shave it!
April 26th, 2008 at 5:22 PM
That was a nice goal by Franzen. Stupid Avs are playing like shit.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:22 PM
I thought the brunette was his much younger (and as a result, cute) sister.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:24 PM
I’m pretty sure Dallas grabs Mendenhall here, no way Washington gets another RB. Now if only we can get Boldin or Roy Williams in a trade, just give us the trophy now.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:27 PM
@ Nick, if that’s his sister then everything is ok. If she’s his girlfriend things need to change. Though i’m sure the pickings weren’t that great for Blue Hen football players.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:28 PM
Sportsgal, remember, he lives in DELEWARE.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:31 PM
What??? Couldn’t the Falcons have gotten Baker early in the second round?
April 26th, 2008 at 5:32 PM
Jeez, I cant even spell Delaware. and i live 20 minutes from that city.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:34 PM
“hey… were’re in delaware”
/ Wayne Campbell
April 26th, 2008 at 5:35 PM
we’re
April 26th, 2008 at 5:35 PM
@gonzo – yeah, he lives in Delaware, not Arkansas. And since when was Delaware a city? Ha ha!
April 26th, 2008 at 5:41 PM
damn it, this is just like Parcells grabbing J Jones instead of S Jackson. Mendenhall is going to be a better pro then Jones
April 26th, 2008 at 5:42 PM
Well, it isn’t a city, but it might as well just join the union of Maryland or Pennsylvania.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:43 PM
Sportsgal, the only thing Delaware is good for is the zero percent sales tax. and back in the day, we went down there to buy powerball tix.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:47 PM
Awww powerball. Bought me 5 tickets today. My Avs just got thumped and the Nuggets are about to. GOD owes me one right?
April 26th, 2008 at 5:52 PM
@triston – Jesus might hook you up, He comments on this blog occasionally!
April 26th, 2008 at 5:55 PM
Triston, God paid you when your Rockies stole the wildcard from the Padres (Holliday still hasn’t touched the plate), then you whooped my Phils in the playoffs.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:57 PM
@ sportsgal, I’m now not even looking forward to Tuesday night. Unless Forsberg’s vagina has healed up by then.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:58 PM
@ Gonzo, and that HR hit by the Rockies late in the game has still yet to be called a homerun. It should have never came down to that play.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:59 PM
that HR hit by the Rockies late in the game has still yet to be called a homerun. It should have never came down to that play.
Touche Mister Salesman.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:18 PM
@triston – well, he’s got an extra day of rest, maybe that’ll give him time to get a checkup at the gyno.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:24 PM
@ Sportsgal, he had 5 days before the start of this series. I don’t know who on the Wild wrecked his vaj so bad, but it’s really screwing things up now. Not that it’d make all that much difference but the Avs have had no offensive consistency.
