wouldn’t surprise me at all to see orlando repping the east in the finals this year.. the more i watch that team the more impressed i am.. dwight howard is just unbelievable and who’s a more interesting coach than SVG? that dude is smart and always good on the radio
April 29th, 2008 at 3:41 pm
thank you, tbl.
invest in oil.
April 29th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
Like I said a week ago, the oil barrel prices went up based on rumors of shit that never happened. Now they can’t pass that same bullshit on us a second time, so now they’re saying “Oh, it’s China and India’s fault. They have a lot of people.” I wonder what the story will be next month.
Boy, I can’t wait to see how much gas will cost the first time there’s a storm in the Gulf of Mexico this year.

Looks like Roger needs to find some performance enhancing drugs for his eyes. Ruff

I dont know man … i think people are getting too sucked in based on one or two games. Listening to the idiots on sports talk radio – so many people are acting like Boston won’t win this. Lots of knee-jerk reaction.
Detroit’s not playing well, has the worst coach of any of the top seeds, and sure, i can see some problems against a young, energy-filled Magic team. But Billups/Rip are eons better than Parker/Ford
April 29th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
@TBL- you always forget to bring up Orlandos frontcourt. You said the same thing about Toronto and that backcourt tandem being better.

I’ve never seen Adrianna Lima fully clothed before…meh.

Gas shot up another .25 cents today in Indy and oil companies are reporting huge profits from last quarter.
Glad I went to college for 4.5 years to have oil giants tell me they arent making any money on gasoline. Agree with Jay, it wont even take a hurricane to hit, the mere possibility should send gas soaring.

The Zito thing is starting to get sad. At least you can kinda hide in most team sports if you suck but when you’re the pitcher, all eyes are on you all the time. Even a shitty quarterback gets to hand the ball off once in a while. If I were him I’d become a major asshole and taunt the crowd with $100 bills when leaving a ballgame. He’ll get booed either way so he might as well have fun with it.
April 29th, 2008 at 3:57 pm
Actually, I have friends in the oil industry (being from LA and all), and they’ll tell you that a lot of the profits are coming from downsizing and streamlining, laying off people, skimping on things like quality control and safety, and asking the employees that are still there to work like one month straight with no days off.

Nice Godzilla biscuits on Ms. Hurley.
April 29th, 2008 at 3:59 pm
Doc Rivers is the worst coach of any of the higher seeds.
Does Elizabeth Hurley smell something rotten in that picture?

“Hey Marko! See you next week, bro!”

April 29th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
ummm…Mike Brown anyone?
April 29th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
Flip?
April 29th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
im just not impressed with detroit.. i havent been for the past 5 years.. every year they geta round into the playoffs and then they lose.. one year the heat beat them, another the cavs, another the spurs in the finals.. i just think their a good solid team, but if they face a rising star like they faced in wade or lebron (and will face in howard next round) i think they go down.. but we’ll see.. should be interesting to say the least..
April 29th, 2008 at 4:04 pm
@yysa- Mike Dantoni getting fired or what
April 29th, 2008 at 4:05 pm
“Yo Marko, check yo’self”
/flashes gang sign
- Paul Pierce

Irish- Now with Larry Brown gone I just don’t know. Part of me could see it. But I think they will at least give him one more year. Because after that Nash is done.
April 29th, 2008 at 4:11 pm
i assume top 4 means higher seeds…and there isn’t a worse coach in the NBA than mike brown.
April 29th, 2008 at 4:11 pm
We would definitely see a drop in oil prices if the Hulkster would quit the waste of slathering so much around his daughter’s balloon knot.
April 29th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
-Irish – but if he does get fired Sam Mitchell might want to update his resume. Because Colangelo would hire him in a heart beat
April 29th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
i for one am psyched to get to the point in time where we are all living like Mad Max, with souped up cars cruising around looking for gas…
April 29th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
@ JWM should I go invest in a pair of shoulder pads w/ or w/ out spikes ?
April 29th, 2008 at 4:22 pm
I just heard Larry Brown is the new head coach.
April 29th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
what is wrong with putting oil on your daughters crotch?
/ Joe Simpson
April 29th, 2008 at 4:28 pm
Irish, there isn’t a problem, as long as your daughter doesn’t have a package like the Hulksters does.
April 29th, 2008 at 4:34 pm
I just hope the Hulkster’s daughter is of age, ’cause if not that’d be really creepy.
/Roger Clemens
April 29th, 2008 at 4:35 pm
@ark- very disturbing is what it is
@YYSA- i read today that the Knicks are interested in Dantoni
April 29th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
a leather vest with hidden pockets for knives/shotguns is a must in the not so distant future….
April 29th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
Yea I read that but I think Mike Dantoni is a smart guy and would recognize that the Raptors team would be perfect style for his coaching. Same with Colangelo recognizing that. I don’t think anyone would want to follow up the knicks job just yet.
April 29th, 2008 at 4:42 pm
@YYSA- Raptors would make sense. i still see him staying in AZ though
April 29th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
The Suns would be foolish to get rid of D’Antoni. He’s a great coach, and just because the Spurs are a dynasty and have the Suns number doesn’t mean he is doing anything wrong.
April 29th, 2008 at 4:48 pm
the knicks stink now, no one is jsut gonna show up and change that. that being the case, there is one man for the job, his name, Charles Oakley…
April 29th, 2008 at 4:58 pm
Sean Jean I agree but the same could be said of Paul Westphal or Cotton Fitz. I really like D’Antoni and I hope he stays but I just don’t see it happening if they lose tonight
April 29th, 2008 at 9:54 pm
TBL – thanks for the West Palm love. As someone who got out five years ago, that pretty much sums up the 561.
April 29th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
Yeah, a little birdie told me you’d comment if i dropped a WPB reference. Why aren’t you commenting more, man?
