Hey Atlanta, How About an Encore?
NBA April 30th. 2008, 6:00pm
From the clowns who set the NBA schedules, with the obvious intent of profiting: the Washington Wizards fight for their playoff lives at 6 p.m. tonight against the Cavs. Is the arena going to double as a morgue? Who attends basketball games at 6 p.m.? If ever the Wizards had a chance to claw back into this one, the 6 p.m. start is ideal. Jump on the Cavs and their late-arriving crowd and take the series back to DC.
While we’re hoping the Hawks show up tonight in Boston, we can’t imagine it happening. The Celtics are 14-point favorites and angry ones, at that. Atlanta has shown nothing on the road in this series that gives us the impression it will be remotely close.

2 blowouts tonight by double digits
April 30th, 2008 at 6:09 PM
I sure hope the wizards show up, and I am not expecting a lot out of the Hawks tonight, but it would be nice if they at least kept it to single digits and got some confidence for game 7

gilbert not playing, done for the year?
April 30th, 2008 at 6:12 PM
in all honesty, how can anyone realistically predict what’s going to happen with the cavs and wiz? we’ve had 2 huge blowouts, one regular game and one photo finish…anything can happen.
April 30th, 2008 at 6:25 PM
Look for the C’s to win by at least 14.
@TBL: Yeah, Gilbert is done. So are the Wiz.
April 30th, 2008 at 6:25 PM
songilia is a punk bitch.
April 30th, 2008 at 6:26 PM
wow, lebron totally acted on that one, and now there’s a couple T’s getting tossed around
this one will definitely get chipper in the 4th
April 30th, 2008 at 6:28 PM
how the hell is that asshole not thrown out?
April 30th, 2008 at 6:29 PM
agree with spencer.. he should have been tossed
April 30th, 2008 at 6:31 PM
Basketball? Who cares about that anymore. My boy Micah Owings just jacked a two run pinch hit homer to help the Dbacks tie the Astros! World Series here we come!

Saw Deshawn working his wrist as they cut to commercial after his O foul. God forbid it’s broken. Or got herpes in it.
April 30th, 2008 at 6:33 PM
Excuse me, Mr. Songaila? The REVEREND Jesse Jackson would like to have a word with you. You do not backhand LeGlobalIcon!

Is there a cloud of smoke in Boston? [Insert NBA pot joke here]
April 30th, 2008 at 9:00 PM
none of these games matter, they are all playing for the right to lose in the Finals to either the Lakers or Spurs
April 30th, 2008 at 9:01 PM
I can’t believe LeBron didn’t score.
April 30th, 2008 at 9:25 PM
@CRM- Believe it buddy. He may have been fouled, but you can’t call that in the playoffs.
Anyone see KG slap the ref’s ass? That definitely should have been a technical foul. Tim Hardaway was not impressed.
April 30th, 2008 at 9:37 PM
There you go. Without Arenas they’re better defensively and the offense goes thru Butler and Jamison. And LeTravel couldn’t hit the 3 footer.
April 30th, 2008 at 9:46 PM
Fuckin cavs. I don’t blame ref’s, it was probably a foul but you can’t expect to get bailed out by a call. The two possessions before that, bron forced up a bad 3 and then someone else took a 3 the next trip, needed better possessions at the end.
April 30th, 2008 at 9:54 PM
Yeah, you can’t expect that call to be made at the end of the game. HOWEVER, since it was LEBRON driving, I was shocked no foul was called.
April 30th, 2008 at 10:03 PM
LeBron should have been the shot. Period. He is perhaps the best player in the league, and he shouldn’t need that foul called, especially since he’s not that great from the line anyways. Jordon never would have missed that shot.

Sounds like it was a pretty interesting game, I’m mad that school had to get in the way tonight. This Celtics game is certainly much more boring. Bad choice by me deciding what game to watch. This episode of the Real World sure has been interesting so far tho. There’s a definite blonde bombshell on there.
Also, just watched the Bob Costas HBO thing for the first time. I tried to avoid it but it just wouldn’t leave me alone. My thoughts? Buzz is a douche.
April 30th, 2008 at 10:13 PM
Yeah because Jordan has never missed a game winning shot.
April 30th, 2008 at 10:24 PM
man, so pissed i missed that wiz finish.
only saw the highlights but didn’t Butler walk on that game-winning drive? and how do you blow a 5 point lead AT HOME in the final 147?
April 30th, 2008 at 10:29 PM
@ fetch.. on the real world would you take the slutty blonde chick or the brunette, the one who will likes? i take the brunette in a landslide, dont know about you..
April 30th, 2008 at 10:32 PM
@ cortes: I can only assume you’re kidding cause the blonde blows her out of the water.
April 30th, 2008 at 10:33 PM
really?
i disagree with you on that one.. maybe im alone on that one.. the brunette is sneaky sexy..the blonde is hot too, but she seems insanely stupid, not to mention a closet racist.. any one else want to chime in on this?
April 30th, 2008 at 10:38 PM
First of all you’re probably right on the closet racist thing, but until there’s an incident I’m going to ignore that. Second the fact that she’s dumb has no impact on me at all. She’s quickly moving onto my shortlist of Real World girls I would bone if presented the opportunity.
April 30th, 2008 at 10:40 PM
just curious, are any of the other girls on this season on that “list?” for me its the blonde and the brunette only, but i put the brunette about the blonde for now..
April 30th, 2008 at 10:44 PM
Oh this season definitely not. This season is awful girl wise IMO. It wouldn’t surprise me if the stripper had male genitalia.
April 30th, 2008 at 10:47 PM
agree with you on that.. she makes me feel dirty just watching the shit she does
April 30th, 2008 at 11:00 PM
if joey wasn;t on this cast, this season would suck.. every week he makes the episodes interesting.. dude has major issues going on though..
April 30th, 2008 at 11:03 PM
Stick a fork in the Hawks tonight. Time to focus on the game in ATL.
April 30th, 2008 at 11:06 PM
Enough with the Real World discussion, please. I stopped watch with Real World: Los Angeles. I spend my Wednesday nights watch UFC Ultimate Fighter. I hope Forrest doesn’t anger Rampage, or else Forrest is in for one hell of a beat down.
@TBL- Yeah Butler clearly traveled on the play. I think LeBron may have walked too because he made it look rather easy to get inside the paint for an easy basket.
April 30th, 2008 at 11:06 PM

April 30th, 2008 at 11:07 PM
@tribal: I can do Scrubs re-runs discussions if youd rather.
April 30th, 2008 at 11:20 PM
No that’s quite all right. That shit just isn’t my cup of tea.
May 1st, 2008 at 12:06 AM
TBL, I saw the end of the Cavs game (I only watched the last 11 seconds) and YES he fuckin walked. I saw it at full speed, then they showed the slow-mo replay and his second step was a stutter step, which is a walk.
May 1st, 2008 at 12:11 AM
Everybody walks. And I never said anything about a foul.
You people need to be watching DEA on SpikeTV. It’s The Wire, but real and in Detroit. Super addictive.
May 1st, 2008 at 7:37 AM
Pretty funny! Cavs fans calling for a walk! LeTravel walks from Columbus most nights. Gimme a break losers.
May 1st, 2008 at 8:33 AM
just shows everyone in the NBA walks and it is never called so everyone can stop complaining about it
