Whitlock’s column was fantastic, makes up for the Herschel Walker Column that disappointed me so greatly (Sorry for the backhanded compliment Jason but I think you were better than that column) I am glad that some of the columns afterwards are not just Buzz bad Bloggers good…I watched that thing again last night and as we put down Braylon Edwards for being useless…he was the most human voice in the segment.

Hernia..to be fair…that is not Francesa’s point…his point is he does not read blogs..he knows who Leitch is because he read the book in the office and saw that the books point was to bash ESPN…he did not generalize..he said he is not a blogger but he understands it’s importance to a mostly younger audience..unfortuantely that was said better than hoe Mike says it but it was the point.

I’ve never heard Francesa’s radio show, but he does have a good point. One of the tiring things about blogs (most, not all) and much of what one hears on sports radio is the tendency to just rip everyone under the sun (e.g., ESPN sucks, Simmons is a hack, ARod is a douche, etc., etc…).

Hernia…I lamented the loss of SNY as a viable sports news option yesterday…as for Francesa, who I like and don’t like all at the same time, his entire job is ripping people so it is not like he has to stand up for the other guys ripping…he rips them as well..just like everyone who rips people constantly he has his “friends” who get a pass..but the Strahan thing makes me sick…he does it everytime you mention the guy on the show..now I give him some credit for being up front…but it is not like Hall of Fame football players grow on trees around here and he has systematically ridiculed this guy to the point where it takes away from the joy of having such a great player on your team…He should be applauded for last season but everytime he is brought up it is well Strahan may have won the Super Bowl but he is a jerk and blah blah blah..that is where you are no longer above the fray..as they like to think they are…and that to me is pathetic

@SportsHernia- SNY shook up their lineup a few weeks back. The sportsnite show you referring to is called Daily News Live and its on a 5 p.m. Sort of resembles Sports Reporters. The next half hour is the Wheelhouse with Scottie Ferrall and some other hack. I stop watching once that show is over. I believe SportsNite NY is the recap of the Mets games, or its a completely different show that runs at 11 p.m.
