Terrelle Pryor Had Dinner with Cris Carter? Hmmmm.
College Football May 2nd. 2008, 12:40pm
Does this make you wonder how long the two have known each other? Just putting it out there. Carter, an Ohio State grad, dining with a high school senior who is Ohio State bound. At Eddie George’s restaurant. Hmmm. What do you think a waiter would say if a reporter went into the restaurant and asked if it was the first time Pryor and Carter had dined together? Do you think Rich Rodriguez is diabolical enough to … you know, if we were a bit more skeptical we might say …

ohio st is the dirtiest university in this country.. they do shit like this all time.. wouldn’t surprise me none
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:42 PM
Recruits…take notice. NFL stars will dine you at a restauarant owned by other NFL stars…COME TO THE DARK SIDE…er…OSU!!!
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:44 PM
cortes…the fact that a Miami guy is saying that is laughable. OSU doesnt hide the fact that most of these kids are NFL bound…at least they’re not shooting off AK-47’s in public or starting brawls 3x per year.
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:44 PM
TBL, I always had a hunch you were Trev Alberts. Do you think Terrelle picked up Carter in his ‘vette?
/ UM still sucks
/ Dick joke
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:45 PM
It doesn’t matter, this kid’s never going to amount to anything.
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:46 PM
UM has been clean for the last decade.. coker and butch davis did a nice job of cleaning the university up.. not sure which incidents you are speaking of? pata and taylor being shot are tragedies not representations of a thug university..
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:47 PM
brawls 3 times a year? 1 fight against FIU if i remember correctly..
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:48 PM
Didn’t they (Miami) have an incident against Clemson 2 years ago?
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:48 PM
This site on Internet Explorer is starting to piss me off.
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:49 PM
cortes…merriwether was the guy i was referring to shooting a gun in public, that was pretty recent. the FIU fight 2 years ago?
and what has OSU done that’s been dirty recently aside from Clarrett, who by U standards, would be a candidate for sainthood?
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:49 PM
boy, that’s rich, a hurrigangsta fan throwing mud.
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:50 PM
there was that fight in the bowl game too.
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:50 PM
A Miami fan wrote this. Really?
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:50 PM
TBL, I take back the Trev Alberts comment. You’re more like Costas. You knew what this would devolve to by the 1st post. Well played.
/ assuming TBLs out for the weekend and leaving CRM to deal with the mess
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:50 PM
how many scotch and waters have you had this morning???
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:51 PM
lol theres plenty of good guys from the u who dont get in trouble.. clinton portis, william joseph, edgerrin james, andre johnson.. you just remember the other guys.. and merriweather’s friend was being shot it.. he was protecting some one, not just “popping off an ak-47″
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:52 PM
Perhaps I’m just really exhausted from a week of 16 hour days…but I’m not getting why Pryor having a meal with Cris Carter is scandalous.
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:52 PM
lol where’s irish at!!! all these ppl are killing me and the U.. where u at irish i need some help this morning.. im strong but i cant take on all 50 of the buzzards
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:53 PM
lol @cortes. he was protecting someone… with an AK.
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:53 PM
cortes…does it change the fact that he was involved in a public gunfight? no. there are plenty of OSU players who don’t get these benefits, but OSU is still the dirtiest program in the country…yep, nice double standard there.
im sure OSU is keeping DA U’s National Champ trophy warm.
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:53 PM
Guy, you gotta get with the program! Safari, Firefox, Camino …
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:54 PM
it wasn’t an AK i guarntee you.. some one do some research for me on that.. i’m 98% certain it was a pistol or something smaller..
// hoping it wasn’t really an AK
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:55 PM
In all fairness, I think it was South Carolina that I was thinking of that got into a fight with Clemson. Southern schools are all the same to me. My bad.
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:56 PM
it was an AK…sorry to say. but dont worry, Mo Clarrett was carryin one too when he was gettin’ his goose on.
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:57 PM
Here’s the story on the AK. Includes a complete list of Miami’s transgressions.
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:57 PM
No Firefox allowed at work TBL, or any of your other wacky browsers.
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:57 PM
what does that mean spence?? he shot his gun at someone to protect a friend’s life.. seriously whats wrong with that man? some one shoots at your best friend and you have a gun, your not gonna shoot back? seriously?
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:58 PM
so he had dinner with an OSU alumni after he committed…and whats the big deal? was it after the spring game when pryor was in attendance?
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:58 PM
wtf is that nomo.. isnt a picture of TBL’s head? LOL
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:58 PM
Who the hell has AK-47s? Gangstas, the Viet Cong…the Canes.
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:58 PM
cortes…that he was in a situation that required an AK-47 to begin with. it’s honorable sure, but it’s AN ASSAULT WEAPON. why did he have an automatic rifle?
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:59 PM
TBL, what do you use most on your mac? safari mozilla or camino??
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:00 PM
cortes…enough bitching about who’s worse, U or OSU, let’s just agree that Michigan sucks ass on a galactic scale.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:00 PM
Rickrolled?
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:01 PM

May 2nd, 2008 at 1:01 PM

May 2nd, 2008 at 1:05 PM
@nomo: haha
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:07 PM
I’m still pissed off about this. Wasted draft pick.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:09 PM
412…id more pissed about your wasted 1 and 2 picks. those guys are worthless with the crap yall are rollin out there at OL.
and im not trying to be an asshole browns fan.

May 2nd, 2008 at 1:10 PM
@irish: Tell him how you really feel.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:13 PM
Irish mafia hates pittsburgh.
I love it!
I think TBL is getting at the point that these two guys have been having dinner long before this one time. If thats the case we have a recruiting violation.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:13 PM
Is Irish the old man on this site?
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:14 PM
nomo just made it in the rickrolled HOF.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:14 PM
there’s my boy irish.. yea!
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:14 PM
irishmafia, hey i just noticed you called me out earlier on ballin. posted over there
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:15 PM
MMonast, the Wizards might as well not even show up tonight.
Whatever will we do without Songalia?!!?!??!
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:16 PM
@sparty- two words for you, Dwight Howard. He is going to kill Rasheed and Maxiell.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:16 PM
didn’t the U have a fight with Louisville?
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:17 PM
spencer – I would have been okay with the Steelers using their entire draft on OL. That being said, I can’t imagine Mendenhall and Sweed will have been wasted picks. Mendenhall is an elite power back and Sweed was projected to be the top WR picked just a year ago (his stock fell as a result of an injury). Really good skill players (and they already had a QB, Ward, Holmes, Miller, and Parker) can help offset a bad line. Somewhat.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:18 PM
cbh…change your name to I Give Blumpkins to LeBron James?
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:18 PM
Evidence?
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:19 PM
@irish,
Howard may dominate the post. But seriously, who’s guarding Billups? Hamilton?
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:20 PM
412…i buy that to a certain degree, especially with Sweed. but RB’s have a short shelf life, and you can’t build a good OL overnight unless you’re picking in the top 7 and there are good FA’s on the market. it just seems that mendenhall is gonna get beat up, and by the time the Steelers OL comes around, he’ll have a lot more wear and tear.
/trying to talk myself into thinking rashard mendenhall isnt going to torture the browns for the next 5 years
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:21 PM
Billups is not hard to guard, IMO. Hamilton is, though.
All Billups tries to do (for the last 3 years) is get his man off his feet, then stick his shoulder in and draw a foul.
If you stay on your feet with him, you basically neutralize him.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:21 PM
just passing the news on…dont kill the messenger cbh
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:21 PM
@sparty- JJ Redick is. Get ready
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:22 PM
@ 412 Hey I didn’t propose that theory. The only evidence I have is that Frosted Mini Wheats is the greatest cereal of all time. Thats right I said it!
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:22 PM
@rs27: French Toast Crunch would like a word.

May 2nd, 2008 at 1:27 PM
At one point did this become about Miami. The fact is osu is as unclean as a toothless night walker in a black mini skirt. It doesn’t make me feel happy to see the Big Eleven champion for the last few years has been doing it the wrong way. Recruit the right way, win the right way, gain respect the right way. Seriously, it isn’t that hard ohio.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:28 PM
nomo, has TBL seen this?
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:28 PM
Rich Rodriguez is still your coach, right?
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:28 PM
Mags…glad you chimed in. gain respect the Michigan way perhaps? like bullshit classes and scoring a 6 on the Wonderlic? just wait Mags…RR will bring UM into the 21st Century.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:28 PM
Fuck all ya all
/Fruity Pebbles
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:29 PM
lol redick. I remember the last big game he had to play defense in. Alan Anderson and Shannon Brown destroyed him. that was funny.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:29 PM
If anybody can name one recruiting violation or poor character guy Rich has recruited since being in Ann Arbor you let me know. Until then, scoreboard.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:30 PM
Try explaining the Big Ten/Eleven to Manningham.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:30 PM
What the hell is French Toast Crunch?
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:30 PM
lol @the scoreboard.
damn you, spence. too quick.
/that’s what she said
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:31 PM
Does Rich Rodriguez count as a recruit? He would probably be poor character guy number one. thats what WVU fans tell me.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:31 PM
@sparty- he sucks, i know it. But to honestly answer your question, Nelson and Mo evans. You know Mo, he is an ex piston. Plus Bogans is coming off the bench and is playing very well.
But please, get your umbrella out because Orlando is going to make it rain with threes. If we are hitting the threes, opens up 20/20 down low. It will be a great series and i cant wait
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:32 PM
Manningham can only count as high as his wonderlic score, 6.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:34 PM
I don’t think he’s ever recruited a bad character guy. He’s a good human being. People just like to hate.
- Chris Henry
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:34 PM
It will be a great one. I think the Pistons are up for it. They will not look past them. Watch Sheed frustrate Lewis with his un-blockable turnaround.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:34 PM
@sparty: i think you just cracked the code for all future wonderlicers. no you’re math.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:34 PM
@Nick
Did I not type in Ann Arbor? Learn how to read.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:36 PM
@sparty- who is guarding Howard then? wallace and howard will be matched up. you guys got the three headed monster. WAllace, Maxiell, McDice to throw at Howard
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:36 PM
Whoa Whoa Whoa…why are we trashing the latest addition to the World Champion New York Football Giants…has anybody take the Wonderlic? I have and guess what? It’s pretty hard. Now I got a 35, but if you are not at all good at Math you are fucked on this thing…its like 70% math and divsion questions which I have yet to figure out how that effects the catching of a football and route running…so now that Mario is a memeber of the World Champion New York Football Giants I want to hear no more discussion of low test scores or drug tests…he is a professional now..he just did all the stuff we did in college…
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:37 PM
Oh sorry. Well he’s been there for 5 minutes, so yeah good shit. He’s a saint.
OJ hasn’t killed any of his wives in the last couple years. Maybe he should be the next Pope.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:38 PM
Here is the test
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:38 PM
RWH – Please don’t tell me this is hard. My 4 year-olds could get a perfect score on this without batting an eyelash.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:39 PM
Maggs,
Welcome to the lower half of the Big Ten. we got plenty of room to accommodate your stay.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:39 PM
@ irish.. how many games do you have the magic winning it in? i have it magic in 7 btw..
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:39 PM
@Nick
Your quips are just stupid, you bring absolutely nothing to the board. First, go to comment #1 then read on down until you get to the box that reads “leave a reply” then type in something that isn’t complete garbage and hasn’t already been posted. Good? Great.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:39 PM
All Football Giants are above reproach…the World Champion Football Giants will guide the Future World Champion Football Giants…it’s the circle of life
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:40 PM
Has Rich Rod even recruited ANYBODY while in Ann Arbor? He hasn’t been around all that long, and the most recent signing class were primarily recruited under Lloyd’s watch.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:41 PM
Roman, Deloitte had me take Wonderlic’s corporate screening. Yeah, it sucked. And it’s timed. It’s like they don’t trust the truthiness of my resume of being both a Certified Project Manager, Inventor of RomanWarHelmet’s beloved elipsses, Cancer Geneticist, and part-time Ninja. Fascists…
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:41 PM
@cortes- i cant predict anything yet. I want to watch game 1 and see how the Magic play against them first
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:41 PM
@Maggs:
Quips? Your UM education is paying off in leaps and bounds. I’m a big fan of your pseudo-intellect. It’s inspiring.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:41 PM
@Roman,
I am actually a Giant fan (and season ticket hold), and like the Manningham selection. But he is still a Wolverine. I was very torn over us getting him, and Devin Thomas went to the Redskins. Anyway, i can careless as to how dumb he may be. Just catch TDs and don’t get arrested.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:42 PM
RWH – Don’t be so cocky about your NY Football Giants.
There are two year-olds out there who haven’t seen the Steelers win a Super Bowl in their lifetime.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:42 PM
412…they have 50 questions and it is timed…so if you can’t answer 50 questions in 12 minutes, especially on things you are not great at (not everyone can easily do Math in their head especially the last 20 years..calcualters are part of the pusification of America) than it makes you look bad..fucking Marino got a 14 on this thing…he is neither stupid and he was a pretty good football player
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:42 PM
MikeNYC? What say you?
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:44 PM
Good one spencer.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch is the best by far.
I guess Terrelle Pryor’s dinner with Desmond Howard didn’t go as well.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:44 PM
Rant,
I believe some recruits changed their choice of school and chose Michigan because of Rich Rod.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:45 PM
I like Dan Marino and everything…but he’s not splitting atoms with that intellect.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:46 PM
@irish. i think Game 2 will be the indicator of the series, not 1.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:46 PM
412..My cockiness will remain until the New YOrk Football Giants are Champions no more (which means never)…Sparty..I am in section 117…and yes..the Skins got two good receivers but I feel Manningham could be better…anyway our need for receiver wasn’t as high as our need for Safety and CB but Dan Connor better suck because we could have had him instead of Terrell Thomas
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:47 PM
layoff Marino guys. Not his fault that he was from Pennsyltucky.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:47 PM
412…I agree and neither is Manningham…who cares if he can divide or multiply monetary amounts and figure out stupid reasoning skills..catch the ball..run away from guy trying to tackle you.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:48 PM
Roman: section 203. Don’t get me started on passing up Dan Connor. But Reese was on point in last years draft, so what can any of us say anyway?
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:50 PM
@sparty- Detroit Free Press is the popular newspaper in Detroit right?
Game 1 gets the momentum going. Philly showed the world that Detroit can be beat. Orlando is a totally different ball club then the 76ers. Plus Stan Van Gundy has history against the Pistons. Remember he coached the Heat
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:51 PM
sparty…the only thing I could think of is he is going to play 3 safetys with Kenny Phillips stuffing the box and Sammy Knight and James Butler playing the receiver…well see..maybe Gerris Wilkinson finally steps up.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:53 PM
My sources say that he started recruiting for Ann Arbor back in November
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:54 PM
Irish, the Freep (as it is called) is more liberal, so yeah its the popular one i guess.
The only reason I say game 1 is not the game to to make the determination is that I think Orlando may come out a little flat after a longer layoff and the Pistons will win game 1. that is my only for sure pick in the series. Game 2 will be the barn burner.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:59 PM
Would explain how he managed to shit the bed against Pitt, thus squandering WVU’s national championship hopes.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:59 PM
i must have missed all those recruiting violations OSU has gotten since tress has been there
jealous hating from tSUN
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:59 PM
@sparty- thanks Sparty.
May 2nd, 2008 at 2:02 PM
Detroit News sucks just because of Rob Parker and TBL’s favorite Chris McCosky.
May 2nd, 2008 at 2:02 PM
@irish- thanks Irish
just for being you.
May 2nd, 2008 at 2:12 PM
Pistons in 5. Snoooooooze………………
May 2nd, 2008 at 2:21 PM
Huge news flash here, Ohio State may have shady recruiting tactics. So does every other football/basketball powerhouse. Wake me up when something unusual happens.
May 2nd, 2008 at 4:04 PM
did you see manningham against OSU? he didn’t catch shit…except herpes…i dont care if it’s true or not, he probably has it.
im pissed i missed all this…
