Atlanta 103

Boston 100:

Can they really do it? The Hawks used a balanced attack (6 guys with 11-18 points) to beat the Celtics to force a game 7 on Sunday in Beantown. The Legend of Joe Johnson continued to grow despite a poor shooting night (4-13) when JJ hit a he-uuuuge 3 with a minute and a half to go. Paul Pierce fouled out with 17 points and then received a technical as a parting gift. Kevin Garnett might have participated, but I don’t remember seeing him.

Cleveland 105, Washington 88: 27 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists is a fairly good day at the office for most of us. For LeBron its a little “meh.” Wally Szczerbiak also had himself a game, scoring 26 points mostly on 6 of 13 three point shooting. Boobie Gibson also hit 4 from long distance. Antawn Jamison had 23 and 15 for the Wizards who can now watch the rest of the playoffs on television.

Utah 113, Houston 91: Can you really blame a guy who scores 40? We’ll try. Tracy McGrady also grabbed 10 rebounds and handed out 5 assists in yet another elimination game. Louis Scola was the only other Rocket to reach double figures with 15. Congratulations do go out to the Jazz despite the fact that everyone must feel just a little bit bad that T-Mac will never see the 2nd round wearing a jersey. Every Jazz starter and 2 reserves hit double figures for Utah.

Tonight: Game 1 of the Hornets – Spurs and Detroit – Orlando – dress accordingly.
