Oh, well. The 66-win Boston Celtics have now been taken to seven games by the Atlanta Hawks (37-45) and the Cleveland Cavaliers (45-37). It took a defining game from Paul Pierce to get past LeBron James’ 45 points. It was as close as one, but the Celtics held on for the 97-92 victory.

Pierce ended up with 41-points and PJ Brown scored 10 huge points while Kevin Garnett pounded his chest on the way to 5-13 shooting. Garnett was transparent down the stretch and even managed an airball which turned into one of Brown’s 4 field goals.

While Pierce was good – the Cavs are horrible. Delonte West killed them despite being the only other Cavalier in double figures. He turned the ball over 6 times and missed the wide-open 3 that would have tied the game late.

As for the Celtics, they can’t get past the Pistons playing like this. Kevin Garnett’s disappearing act won’t play in Detroit. The most intriguing part of the series will be determining whether or not Kevin McCallister Ray Allen got on any of the team flights. I’m calling the Pistons in 6.
