Chris Paul’s Confident, But Are You?
NBA May 19th. 2008, 7:00pm
A bit disappointed in the Times-Picayune today – where’s the news on David West? Shouldn’t we have some sort of update on his back? Yeah, we know he practiced over the weekend, but it’s game-day, people. We’re rooting for the Hornets, but don’t feel remotely confident putting a wager on the game (New Orleans favored by 4.5). In the series, the Spurs have been destroyed in all three games at the Hive, mostly because of their inability to contain Chris Paul, who knives into the lane as easy as Isiah Thomas used to. The Spurs only win titles in odd-numbered years, so nobody would hold it against them if they faltered. San Antonio’s best hope might be doubling Paul as soon as he came across halfcourt, and pray Peja and Mo Pete tighten up with the series on the line. We’ll guess the Hornets win by 10.

Timmy Dunc wins another title
May 19th, 2008 at 7:12 PM
Sometimes, no news is good news
May 19th, 2008 at 7:23 PM
CP3 punches Horry in the junk and New Orleans wins by 8.
May 19th, 2008 at 7:26 PM
Horry might join the Julius Hodge cup-wearing club
May 19th, 2008 at 7:38 PM
Im confident that David West is gonna take a dump on Tim Duncans chest tonight
May 19th, 2008 at 7:43 PM
If that happened, David West would be my favorite player for all eternity.
May 19th, 2008 at 8:06 PM
Yay for Marv Albert tonight!! He is the best… Tirico/Breen suck. Marv doesn’t openly fellate players like Tirico and Breen.
May 19th, 2008 at 8:13 PM
18 mins to tip … let’s get pics in …
106-94 new orleans (also bet on them -4.5)
May 19th, 2008 at 8:14 PM
Spurs.. I hate them.. but I’m buying into the experience thing for a game 7, hope I’m wrong.. love watching CP3 and West. 103-93
May 19th, 2008 at 8:17 PM
I’m taking the Hornets 101-95…CP3 stats: 26 pts, 13 ast, 7 reb
May 19th, 2008 at 8:26 PM
Hornets 95-81
CP3: 25 pts, 15 assts. and 7 reb.
West elbows Horry in the 3rd quarter.
May 19th, 2008 at 8:35 PM
Not liking the all white shirts..they should have gone yellow or teal
May 19th, 2008 at 8:36 PM
Hornets 89 – Spurs 94…How I Met Your Mother is on, so it still counts even though its past 8:30
May 19th, 2008 at 8:43 PM
im late but im going hornets 97 spurs 94
May 19th, 2008 at 8:44 PM
Hornets 101 – Spurs 93. And I stand by my pick of CP3 punching Horry in the junk.
May 19th, 2008 at 8:46 PM
As much as I hate the Spurs, I hate David West more. Much more.
Fuck David West.
May 19th, 2008 at 8:47 PM
San Antonio 98 Hornets 97
May 19th, 2008 at 8:48 PM
took that close of a shot for Marv to realize it was ice that was turning into water?
May 19th, 2008 at 8:50 PM
late pick: Spurs 94 Hornets 89
May 19th, 2008 at 8:50 PM
Hornies – 91
Spurs – 77
May 19th, 2008 at 8:57 PM
Not a bad possession for Kurt Thomas. Three offensive rebs and a basket.
May 19th, 2008 at 8:58 PM
PJ Brown like
May 19th, 2008 at 8:58 PM
Who the hell would the Lakers rather play? They’re getting Ariza back for sure it appears. These teams pose drastically different challenges.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:01 PM
Ginobli’s move looks like a soccer tackle…
May 19th, 2008 at 9:03 PM
even when the spurs get called for being asshats they get away with it
May 19th, 2008 at 9:15 PM
fuckin’ horry
geez
this place is a morgue
May 19th, 2008 at 9:19 PM
bruce bowen is making contested 3’s?
what a joke
May 19th, 2008 at 9:19 PM
omg
this is a disaster for the hornets
May 19th, 2008 at 9:19 PM
Well, the Hornets are inexperienced, not many people have talked about this.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:20 PM
I really enjoyed seeing Horry fly to the ground right there.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:21 PM
its early. They will have a shot to win down the stretch
May 19th, 2008 at 9:22 PM
was Udoka a first round pick?
May 19th, 2008 at 9:24 PM
never mind just looked it up, he went undrafted. Leave it to the Spurs to find a 31 year old role player with no track record and make him a contributor on a championship caliber team
May 19th, 2008 at 9:25 PM
is boston’s jon lester really 3 outs away from a no-hitter?
as for the ‘experienced’ debate, someone emailed me a lebatard line from today: if the Spurs lose, they are old; if they win, they are experienced. which is it?
May 19th, 2008 at 9:26 PM
peja and mo pete back to back 3’s, and we have a game …
looked like the Spurs were in some kind of strange zone defense to prevent CP3 from getting to the rack
May 19th, 2008 at 9:26 PM
and 1 CP3
here we go
May 19th, 2008 at 9:28 PM
tough j by peja
12 unanswered, and the spurs lead has vanished
May 19th, 2008 at 9:28 PM
Ellsbury made a hell of a catch to preserve the no-no.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:28 PM
this is a disaster for the Stars.
The Hornets still have a snowballs chance in hell. Top Shelf will be jumpin tomorrow with Moleman vs. Sportsgal.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:28 PM
I cant find the red sox game on at all…even in florida they are on every damn day somehow but when I wanna watch it no dice
May 19th, 2008 at 9:29 PM
lester’s close to a no-no? meanwhile boof bonser continues to pitch like shit.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:29 PM
ok they switched to it on espn…which means of course someone is getting a hit
May 19th, 2008 at 9:29 PM
Udoka has a track record. He played well for Portland last year, but they let him walk.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:30 PM
Tony Parker is good, although that wasnt a foul.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:30 PM
ESPN has the 9th inning on of lester’s no hit bid
May 19th, 2008 at 9:31 PM
People!! The Spurs came to win! Never under-estimate the heart …blah, blah, blah.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:31 PM
lester walks the leadoff hitter … geez is boston really going to get a no-hitter the day after winning game 7?
high chopper to third … one away
May 19th, 2008 at 9:31 PM
2 outs away for Lester
May 19th, 2008 at 9:32 PM
God, I hate Boston.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:32 PM
didn’t lester pitch a no no earlier in his career?
May 19th, 2008 at 9:32 PM
boston red sox game on espn
dejesus is up
lester has beaten cancer, clinched the world series, and is two outs away from a no-hitter
May 19th, 2008 at 9:33 PM
think it was buchholz, but they’re interchangeable, like yellow and orange gummi bears
May 19th, 2008 at 9:33 PM
On another note, even though this wasn’t the situation with the “foul” on Parker, what’s the deal with continuation? Isn’t it the most absurd rule possible in basketball. I absolutely loathe everybody on the Spurs except Duncan.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:33 PM
Remy just made a good point on NESN why would Youkilis be holding the runner at 1st in this spot?
May 19th, 2008 at 9:33 PM
yea they just mentioned it
May 19th, 2008 at 9:34 PM
1 away
May 19th, 2008 at 9:34 PM
It was buchholz, the one with the uber hot girlfriend.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:34 PM
2 out
May 19th, 2008 at 9:34 PM
i was thinking buckner there … lock city now, one out away with some dude i’ve never heard of batting
May 19th, 2008 at 9:34 PM
If he throws a wild pitch, it will be a 1-run no hitter. Please god, let it happen.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:35 PM
/fixed
May 19th, 2008 at 9:35 PM
For the love of Christ, c’mon Callaspo! I don’t know you, but GET A FUCKING HIT!
May 19th, 2008 at 9:35 PM
i wish the guy would drop a bunt here. why dont people do that?
May 19th, 2008 at 9:35 PM
TBL, that’s albert callaspo, the wife beater. He played for AZ last year. And beat his wife.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:35 PM
one strike to go.
callaspo … sounds like something you shove in a ceiling to stop a leaky roof
May 19th, 2008 at 9:35 PM
didnt know that. hope lester k’s him
May 19th, 2008 at 9:36 PM
i wont go to barstool for like a month. i wish boston would just go away already
May 19th, 2008 at 9:36 PM
got him!
May 19th, 2008 at 9:36 PM
bingo
May 19th, 2008 at 9:36 PM
10-0 run followed by a 10-0 run. Sounds about right.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:36 PM
but no hitting the royals is like what … dunking on a 7th grader?
May 19th, 2008 at 9:36 PM
Dropping a bunt to break it up is gayer than gay buttsex.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:36 PM
damn fine pitching…damn fine
May 19th, 2008 at 9:37 PM
I hate the Red Sox but a no-hitter is always awesome. Well done.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:37 PM
No hitter!
May 19th, 2008 at 9:37 PM
As a Mets fan it is 10 times more depressing watching that.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:37 PM
Speaking of being gayer than gay buttsex, Boston is exactly that. Fuck them.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:37 PM
gay gay gay
May 19th, 2008 at 9:37 PM
I hate the RedSox so very, very much.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:39 PM
what an end to end run by CP3 to end the half
where is the hornets offense? 42 points? that’s it? man, my nba playoff betting has been awful.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:39 PM
I hate the Spurs myself
May 19th, 2008 at 9:39 PM
No lie: right after I typed my last comment my girlfriend, who is a fairweather Sox fan asked me, “When is the last time the Mets did that?”
May 19th, 2008 at 9:39 PM
red sox fans, whom do you hate more, Aaron Boone or Bill Buckner?
May 19th, 2008 at 9:40 PM
I hope it’s Billy Buck.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:42 PM
Ah, Aaron Boone. Thanks for that memory TBL.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:42 PM
what a shitty night – spurs win, and red sox pitch a no-hitter. next thing you know, tom brady will be photographed with cheryl cole, and a bill belichick will win the powerball lottery
May 19th, 2008 at 9:42 PM
Lester threw 130 pitches. Wow. I hate them, but gotta hand it to any pitcher that can put out that kind of effort.
Unless his last name is Clemmens.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:42 PM
Neither one is hated more than Bucky Dent.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:43 PM
@TBL: the Red Sox no-hitter has almost pushed me over the edge.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:44 PM
Aaron Boone wears leather pants. Gay
May 19th, 2008 at 9:44 PM
Bucky Dent…keep it coming TBL, keep it coming!
May 19th, 2008 at 9:47 PM
speaking of kobe, what do we think happened in that hotel room in colorado? just wondering.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:48 PM
Buttsex?
May 19th, 2008 at 9:49 PM
Kobe was having a tea party when she walked in on it.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:54 PM
He fell over…with his pants off, and her legs open. Its called an accident TBL.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:54 PM
LOl Barkley just said the Lester no-hitter was “killing him” He’s a Yankee fan.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:54 PM
i believe Kobe committed a backcourt violation.
May 19th, 2008 at 9:54 PM
“that only counts for half a no-hitter.”
Nice
May 19th, 2008 at 9:57 PM
pretty cool moment from fenway.. by the way TBL, I’m the one who emailed you the le batard link.. and if they lose, i hope people say that they just lost a tough game to a great player not “they are old and tired”
May 19th, 2008 at 10:01 PM
Horrendous shot by West. Jesus.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:03 PM
Is it me or is it really creepy watching Ric Flair sit in the front row at the game…he is in the camera angel when the Spurs throw free throws…WOOOOOOO
May 19th, 2008 at 10:06 PM
Tony Parker is locking down on CP3 and this is looking very sketch for the Hornets right now.
If they aren’t doubling off CP3, then nobody’s open. David West, finally get exposed in a big spot. he’s been terrible
May 19th, 2008 at 10:07 PM
I know Duncan complains a lot but that was a terrible call, no way that was an offensive foul.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:07 PM
yo cursed, care to defend your boy west?
May 19th, 2008 at 10:07 PM
When was the last time an NBA player copped up to having fouled somebody? 1973?
May 19th, 2008 at 10:08 PM
agreed TBL, West has looked bad and it does not appear to be because of his back.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:08 PM
peja, west, mo pete … nobody can hit a shot. game 7 nerves. i guess the question will become: Is this an embarrassing loss? Shit, the hornets weren’t really supposed to beat these guys …
May 19th, 2008 at 10:11 PM
Its only a bad loss for the Hornets if they get blown out. Never a bad loss to lose to the defending champs.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:14 PM
West is TURRRRIBLE… But I still love watching him play, nevermind he’s having a terrible game in the biggest of situations!
May 19th, 2008 at 10:14 PM
i don’t care of the Spurs are the defending champs or not, this will be a bad loss for the Hornets. they were up 2-0 in the series, ahead 3-2 in the series and have game 7 at home. they should expect to win, not be happy as long as they don’t get blown out.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:15 PM
+1 for using a caliendo as bill walton reference to slide your way out of looking bad lol
May 19th, 2008 at 10:15 PM
at least boston/cleve was interesting … the hornets look terrible
i feel bad for people watching them for the first time …
May 19th, 2008 at 10:17 PM
i have to agree – losing 4 of 5 after being up 2-0 is pretty damn bad. especially the way you beat the Spurs down in all three games at home. i really think CP3 is the only one who’s going balls out right now … everyone else is playing scared
cp3 finally makes a FT
May 19th, 2008 at 10:18 PM
mike finley makes a shot on the road? up 11?
geez
May 19th, 2008 at 10:18 PM
If this continues, I love how the conensus talking points tomorrow will be that the Hornets weren’t ready for the situation.. well how about they’re just having a bad game.. is that possible? Don’t we tend to overanalyze this stuff?
May 19th, 2008 at 10:18 PM
what do you know, peja throws up an airball
in a game 7
May 19th, 2008 at 10:18 PM
“Way Off” in unison..
May 19th, 2008 at 10:18 PM
I am sorry but West is being “exposed”? they carried the guy off the court last game..now he is 100%?..I am sorry he does not look the same…he is moving more tentatively and I don’t see the same explosion on his jumps…his teammates are not picking him up…and with all that Duncan is still not dominating here…let’s not kill West for a tough game..I think he is gutting this thing out
May 19th, 2008 at 10:19 PM
Is someone in the Hornets besides Paul going to try and take the ball to the basket?
May 19th, 2008 at 10:19 PM
@ cursed
yep, agree.. and then we have to hear all week how the spurs were experienced and savy.. anyone else curious just HOW healthy chandler and west are tonight?
May 19th, 2008 at 10:19 PM
remember how it should have been all lebron all the time in game 7?
right now, it needs to be cp3 going to the hoop on every possession. they’re down 13 and nobody is making anything.
14 minutes left in their season, and it has to be paul in isolation on every possession.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:21 PM
Yeah, I have to agree with cursed. It’s entirely possible that they’re just having a bad game as a team. It happens now and then. It just happens to be the worst possible time.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:22 PM
Can you believe ESPN whored its gamecast out for sponsorship.. that blows.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:22 PM
all shots must originate from Paul, could not agree more. He also needs to shoot even if he has to force things, it is about time to do so.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:23 PM
hornets look almost done.
stars are done.
wings vs penguins.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:23 PM
you know you’re hurting on the celeb cam when …
Ric Flair makes an appearance
david west is HORRIBLE. CHOKE CITY
May 19th, 2008 at 10:23 PM
@cursed – Yes, I can believe it.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:23 PM
I’m pretty confident in one thing: either the Hornets will be frauds for blowing game 7 at home, or the Spurs will be frauds for losing a 13 point lead.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:23 PM
so lucky that parker shot rimmed out – that would have been down 15
and FINALLY they get a basket on the chandler dunk. but can they get stops. MIKE FINLEY DAGGERRRRRRRRRR
May 19th, 2008 at 10:24 PM
oh the F word is coming out if you lose by 10+ at home in game 7.
robert horrryyyyyy for 33333333333333
May 19th, 2008 at 10:24 PM
Game.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:25 PM
Fin Dog and Big Shot, outshining Mo Pete and Peja.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:25 PM
Ginobili looks like he is strung out and hasn’t slept for 5 days or something…
May 19th, 2008 at 10:25 PM
should we just use frauds now? down 15
this is a fantastic choke job
nobody on new orleans wants it
that said, the spurs are making shots – threes, which even hurts more. manu is going to make this 17
no fucking shot
CHOKE
May 19th, 2008 at 10:26 PM
Well now CP3 might as well hark back to his Wake days and punch Horry in the junk like we all hoped he would. Why not? If not him, West has to take out his frustration on that douchebucket.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:26 PM
TBL: William Faulkner finds your stream of consciousness posts confusing.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:26 PM
so down 15 at the end of 3
duncan just sat out a few minutes and is rested
i think this one’s over
May 19th, 2008 at 10:27 PM
@ tbl,
no one WANTS it? seriously, thats the analysis you give this game? how about david west being hurt and the team having an off night?
i hate that.. at the height of sports people actually think there are players who just dont wanna win or dont want to try tonight.. ugh.. maybe its just me, not sure..
May 19th, 2008 at 10:27 PM
Nobody would beat the Spurs tonight the way they’re shooting from outside.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:27 PM
@hef: that’s more finnegan’s wake. He’ll be creating his own language next.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:27 PM
if Billy Faulkner were around today, he’d have a blog
can i do another 5-7-5 word haiku tomorrow?
May 19th, 2008 at 10:29 PM
i’d need to check the stats, but i fairly certain peja/west are both over 50% from teh field at home in this series; but now they choke?
May 19th, 2008 at 10:29 PM
Cortez, + infinity. I love kneejerk analysis the next day by people. Like “You could just tell by the looks on their faces they didn’t want it.”
Sometimes guys just have bad performances, and none of it is related to anything on the periphery.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:30 PM
Charles Barkley
May 19th, 2008 at 10:31 PM
Like Ehlo on Jordan
May 19th, 2008 at 10:32 PM
TBL agreed on James Joyce having a blog, but Billy Faulkner was too ambitious to have a blog. I’ll tell my favorite William Faulkner story in a second. But yeah, for more haikus. I love em.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:32 PM
Well this is becoming exactly like yesterday’s game. Paul is LeBron, and the Spurs are the Celtics, except gayer.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:32 PM
didn’t barkley pick the hornets tonight, im 99% sure he did.. lol
May 19th, 2008 at 10:33 PM
What is this like a soccer game now? Every time someone is fouled they lay on the ground for 5 minutes and eventually get up and are fine. Enough with the drama.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:33 PM
He did, which ruins my joke completely. You asshole. I thought I had a good one.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:34 PM
The best William Faulkner story goes like this:
He was heading out to go to the bar to write because that’s where he got the most “work” done. As he’s about to step out the door, his daughter runs up to him and says, “Daddy, don’t go out tonight. Please stay home with us.”
Faulkner pauses, looks at the kid and says, “No one remembers Shakespeare’s kids.” And then walks out the fucking door.
And now he’s famous and I’m telling stories about him. So, yeah, he made the right choice.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:34 PM
outofbounds, first Spurs game? As Hubie would say, “Now, if this is the first time you’ve seen the Spurs, they have two athletic perimeter players, and post presence in Tim Duncan who can score from the either block.”
May 19th, 2008 at 10:35 PM
Haha wow Hef nice story. Also, while flipping channels I think I have found the worst show in the history of television: The Paper on MTV.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:36 PM
hef, is this story legit? if so, fantastic. i may try that one on the wife … the day im ready to die.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:36 PM
hubie brown has never seen a timeout he didnt love and think “ok, good timeout here by (insert nba coach) to regroup the troups”
May 19th, 2008 at 10:36 PM
Not the first time, or even close to it… but the drama is going both ways tonight. I was hoping this would be the last time I’d have to watch the Spurs this season… so boring.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:36 PM
Nah, barkley picked the nets.
he always picks the nets.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:37 PM
Now Doug Collins would say “If you’re the Hornets right now, you cannot afford to trade baskets.”
Anyone with some good ones?
May 19th, 2008 at 10:38 PM
The Hornets aren’t going to win this game, unless they can get a lead in the 4th quarter. If they can do that, they have a chance. Consequently, that’s what it’s gonna take.
/Austin Carr
May 19th, 2008 at 10:39 PM
I’m waiting for Marv Albert to come with “BJ Armstrong nails the open three!”
May 19th, 2008 at 10:39 PM
“the hornets just did have not have any energy tonight. the spurs had more energy, and at the end of the day, thats why they won”
// greg anthony
May 19th, 2008 at 10:39 PM
TBL: It was true enough to be told by my American lit prof in grad school. He spent enough time studying Faulkner that I believe him.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:40 PM
Hef, I used to say that you had to have a graduate degree to post comments in here. Then Irish somehow stumbled his way in. And that idiot from Detroit.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:42 PM
@cursed: Being an undergrad at Michigan is equal to our graduate degrees.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:42 PM
That’s nothing. In the town I used to live in the economy was so bad you had to have a grad degree to wait tables.
But you’re right about the quality of posters here.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:42 PM
take that you flopping bitch.. i hate ginobili
May 19th, 2008 at 10:43 PM
Ginobili just got “Ginobili’d” by Paul
May 19th, 2008 at 10:43 PM
nick did you just compliment michigan? also, according to cursed’s rules, i’m out.
/still an undergrad
May 19th, 2008 at 10:44 PM
@fetch: if you had a grad degree you would realize he was being sarcastic.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:44 PM
No. I’m complimenting their elitist attitudes.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:45 PM
Nick, I already answered that question here.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:45 PM
i almost went to michigan. good thing i didn’t, my ego doesn’t need any help.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:46 PM
And then again, here.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:47 PM
Let’s try a future link.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:47 PM
@Hef: I figured out how to link to my own comment last night. Then I blacked out and woke up in Central Park with a meatball sub in my hand. I don’t know how I got there.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:47 PM
I figured out how to do it. And i just tried a future link. Let’s see if it works.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:48 PM
We need a few more posts though, so start spouting bullshit.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:48 PM
Let’s get the ball to Pargo in crunchtime when we’re down 10
May 19th, 2008 at 10:48 PM
Which for you is everyday talk.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:48 PM
Test
May 19th, 2008 at 10:49 PM
Great Scott!!!!
May 19th, 2008 at 10:49 PM
Success!!! My future link (this is a link to my future link) worked!!! I feel like Doc Brown.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:49 PM
I feel like linking your own comments from the future is risky without a constant.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:50 PM
that’s enough for today. tomorrow hef will figure out cold fusion.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:50 PM
The world will soon collapse upon itself.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:50 PM
That foul on Paul is a bunch of bullshit. Fuck that.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:50 PM
@cursed: TBL is my constant. You should see him in the past when his guns were only as big as mine.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:51 PM
Can we use this power to create a alternative universe during a Kobe-LeBron debate, where in actuality, we’re having a Pargo/Abortion discussion?
May 19th, 2008 at 10:51 PM
I hope I can use this power for good. The only problem is that people rarely go back and read old posts.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:52 PM
Now I know you’re full of shit. There never was such a time.
Don’t you read the Bible.
“And on the first day, Lebron created TBL’s guns out granite…”
May 19th, 2008 at 10:52 PM
Damnit you guys just reminded me that it’s still 10 more days until the new Lost.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:52 PM
Well that settles it:
TBL after dark > TBL daytime
May 19th, 2008 at 10:53 PM
This link will be a time capsule. I will try to link to something important tomorrow and see what happens. I predict it will be a comment about MMA.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:56 PM
so apparently when you get married, you end up spending countless hours online at night talking to nameless faces on TBL?
May 19th, 2008 at 10:56 PM
Peja is shooting like a retarded Turkoglu
May 19th, 2008 at 10:57 PM
Dammit Peja.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:57 PM
Better than talking gnomeless feces.
May 19th, 2008 at 10:58 PM
STOP SHOOTING 3s!!!
May 19th, 2008 at 10:58 PM
OMG WTF
May 19th, 2008 at 10:58 PM
Nevermind.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:00 PM
sportsgal wouldn’t it be faceless names? or since they’re not our real names, faceless nameless?
May 19th, 2008 at 11:00 PM
Fuck Tony Parker… can’t he just be happy with sexing Eva? He’s gotta go out and nail clutch shots too.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:01 PM
game
May 19th, 2008 at 11:01 PM
Is everyone in New Orleans fat, or just everyone they do a close-up of in the crowd?
May 19th, 2008 at 11:02 PM
i am offended by sports gal’s comment.. according to the TBL commenter rights,
“your avatar is your face”
ha!
May 19th, 2008 at 11:03 PM
Well this blows. At least I can look at the MLB standings and see that the Os still have a winning record. It’s like Christmas every morning.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:04 PM
Home Court Advantage, Home shmort shmantage
May 19th, 2008 at 11:05 PM
Adan Dunn is a mountain of a man. He’s getting his taint licked by an LA “waitress” tonight.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:06 PM
Can Spurs fans chant “Float home safely?” Or are flood jokes no in vogue yet?
May 19th, 2008 at 11:09 PM
@cortes, if our avatars are our faces, then I’m the prettiest and coolest one in here!
May 19th, 2008 at 11:10 PM
They’re totally in vogue. Go to New Orleans and say it. It’s like a greeting now.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:10 PM
Sportsgal’s so drunk she’s coming onto herself now.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:12 PM
I predicted that would happen right here.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:13 PM
can we all agree without equivocation that nick p’s avatar would be the ugliest if these were in fact our faces?
May 19th, 2008 at 11:13 PM
In my defense, I’ve been working on my resume, doing laundry and sending hate-filled emails to RedSox fans at the same time I’ve been posting here.
But I’m not married and that should be no surprise given what I’ve just said.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:14 PM
so’s your face.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:14 PM
@Nick: the problem with that is you have to hit refresh right before you hit submit and then edit as necessary. Still, it sure is fun.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:14 PM
I’m so drunk, I might have to go out and have a celebratory threesome (FMF only)!
May 19th, 2008 at 11:14 PM
Space/Time Continuum fun
May 19th, 2008 at 11:15 PM
good lord sportsgal
May 19th, 2008 at 11:16 PM
Sportsgal: you celebrate getting drunk? That’s like brushing my teeth: I don’t celebrate that, I just do it.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:16 PM
That’s what I did Hef.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:16 PM
Hey, I’m just trying to fit in with the TBL After Dark crowd!
May 19th, 2008 at 11:19 PM
Marv Albert definitely threw a dig O’Reilly’s way when he said “We play it out tonight with a song nobody in the league wants to hear”
May 19th, 2008 at 11:19 PM
Abortions for everyone.
BOO!
Abortions for no one!
BOO!
Abortions for some, mini American Flags for others…
Hooray!!!!
May 19th, 2008 at 11:21 PM
And on that note, I’m outta here.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:21 PM
Sportsgal, what are your thoughts on webcams and the fact that I have one?
May 19th, 2008 at 11:22 PM
where are all the female-female-male threesome advocates in my town?
May 19th, 2008 at 11:22 PM
You call this TBL after dark and no one has called dibs on the male role in sportsgal’s sexy time party?
For shame.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:22 PM
In Kansas??? They’ve all been drawn and quartered.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:23 PM
I’m 3 states north hef.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:25 PM
Canada?
May 19th, 2008 at 11:41 PM
@Longliveriverfront: no dibs until we see the 2nd F.
Of course, we could always send F2 out for beer if she’s a 2-bagger. Hmmm. Yes, that could work. SHOTGUN!
May 19th, 2008 at 11:45 PM
Ok, I lied and came back…
Re: webcams – are you planning on sending me a video, cursed? Maybe I should take video submissions for my FMF session?
May 19th, 2008 at 11:59 PM
I mean, that can obviously be arranged! How old are you anyway?!
May 20th, 2008 at 12:36 AM
I passed out reading the comments here and woke up on the corner of 1st and 1st. I must be at the nexus of the universe!
