Eastern Conference Finals Game 2: Celtics/Pistons Discussion Thread
NBA, WAG May 22nd. 2008, 7:30pmTip-off for tonight’s round ball contest is 8:30pm – pointlessly late for an Eastern Conference playoff game – especially, on a school night.
The Celtics are up 1-0 on the Pistons as they continue to hold court at home in the playoffs. On Tuesday the Celtics outscored the Pistons by 11 in the 3rd and that was pretty much that. Sure they didn’t pull away, but the Pistons never really got it down into the “Danger Zone.”
Chauncey Billups still isn’t 100% – and probably won’t be for the rest of the Pistons’ playoff lives. He does plan to be more aggressive tonight though.
Will it be enough? Will Kevin Garnett have two straight games where he factors into the outcome? Will the Pistons exert their “We’ve been here before” will? Will Ray Allen attend the game? All these questions – and more! – will be answered tonight.
Bonus Non-NBA Chris Cooley Update: Maj alerted me to the fact that Cooley reposted the story from earlier on his own personal blog with a couple pictures (A little NSFW) he took of his fiancé just this week. The couple is getting married Friday. The early consensus is, “That’s awesome.”

Good for Cooley….
Anyways, it’s not a school night for me, as I am done for a week. At that time, I’ll start up summer school.

Did anyone just hear Stu Scott ask Jon Barry what Ray Allen’s eyes told him during an interview?
Let the jokes begin.

I think that Jesus Shuttleworth comes back from the dead tonight…

Thursdays without Lost and the Office are dreadful. Matter of fact, so is this game. This might sound weak, but there’s very little appeal to this game.
Defense wins, but offense sells tickets and gets people watching. I’m trying really hard to get into this, but it’s just … boring. What the hell is Tony Allen doing on the floor?

And why is Garnett passing?
May 22nd, 2008 at 9:57 PM
Quiet around these parts…
/Somebody get out the brooms! Florida swept the D’Backs.

ive actually passed out about 14 times during this game, perhaps thats why its a tad quiet…this game sucks

I actually switched over to Casino Royale. Really good flick. Daniel Craig is solid. No Connery, of course, but if he keeps this up, he could wind up being 2nd best.

Ray Allen just made a shot!
May 22nd, 2008 at 10:19 PM
No Grey’s Anatomy, TBL? Season Finale…
May 22nd, 2008 at 10:20 PM
Connery is The MAN and PB is the 2nd Best Bond
BTW If KG wasn’t Ballin-out-of-Control The C’s would be down by at least 20 points
May 22nd, 2008 at 10:29 PM
HawkEye if by that you meant that you watch that show, you need a testosterone check. If you were making fun of TBL for watching Gossip Girl, carry on. Although beware the guns.

Sean Connery’s a douche. Possibly the most overrated actor ever. Not clever interesting or anything.

Hef, guess who actually finished the mock draft (finally). I e-mailed it to the major league jerk address.
May 22nd, 2008 at 10:46 PM
I thought it was The Hills…
Second half’s been a little more exciting. Ray Allen has played better this game, as has Sheed.
And just so were clear, estrogen or not Game 2 Eastern Conference Finals>>>>>Season Finale of Grey’s Anatomy
May 22nd, 2008 at 10:47 PM
I’ve actually watched The Hills so I couldn’t make fun there. Too many hot chicks on that show.
May 22nd, 2008 at 10:48 PM
We’re, pardon my typo.

@fetch: CC is two years younger than Johan and likely a hell of a lot cheaper. They could swing that package.
I don’t see da Injuns trading him anyway, though.
May 22nd, 2008 at 10:56 PM
we’re going cross-blog comments on this one. My point is that CC would only be for two months barring an extension, and I honestly don’t think he’d be a hell of a lot cheaper. Would he be cheaper? sure, but it would probably cost them more years, and I don’t think the Dodgers like doing that. Plus CC isn’t as good as Johan, so why would he get better prospects?

May 22nd, 2008 at 11:31 PM
Well I said Detroit in 5 right after the Cavs lost Game 7 and I’m sticking to that… But if Ray Allen decides to Join-the-party it could go the distance
May 22nd, 2008 at 11:37 PM
