Sharapova Advances
Tennis, filler May 31st. 2008, 2:20pm
Big night for sports on television. The Penguins will continue to try to climb back into their series with Detroit and Kimbo Slice will make his primetime ass-kicking debut. Until then – filler.
Maria Sharapova had a bit of a scare this morning at the French Open. The first set lasted 81 minutes before she finally closed out a tie-breaker to win 7-6. She then cruised through the second set 6-0 against Karin Knapp.
From ESPN:
“It was like my twin sister was here, and then Maria actually made her flight and made it for the second set,” Sharapova said. “I definitely became a lot more aggressive and stepped in and didn’t give her too many easy balls.”
I’m inspired. So inspired I put another picture of Sharapova after the jump.

Better “filler” than a LSU-UCONN women’s hoops rivalry.

Hey CRM, Abagail was an excellent choice. Much props to some fine WAG searching.

I don’t see the appeal, unless you’re into chicks who can beat you at certain sports.
