Will Javon Walker Press Charges?

Interesting read-between-the-lines tidbit out of Vegas this morning from the patch-wearing purveyor of Sin City: “The longer Javon Walker goes without revealing what really happened early Monday, the more likely it’s an embarrassing mess for the Oakland Raiders wide receiver. It wouldn’t be the first time a high-profile athlete or celebrity preferred not to press charges to keep a sordid story from coming out.”
Embarrassing? Come on Norm, why didn’t you just tell the story that athletes in Vegas are buzzing about? Pro Football Talk posted late last night the same story we heard: Some pissed patrons, unhappy that Walker’s Dom P had soaked them, got a female to cozy up to Walker under the guise that they’d be going home together … and she led the Raiders receiver into a trap and he got his ass kicked.

i’m suprised it hasn’t come out yet that D-Mac and JaMarcus Russell were there with him. i wonder where they were while he was getting his ass kicked.

Isn’t it possible he doesn’t remember much. I know my stumblings to my hotel rooms at 5am in Vegas are hard to recollect. I am sure they would be even harder if I was cracked in the cranium

either way I don’t see this as all that damning of Walker. I guess he gets a little sympathy if some thugs just showed up in his room, but with an NFL player in Vegas we pretty much just assume he is going to be irresponsibly wasting money. Which ever story is true, he got beat up – in one story there is known motive (showering Dom P) in the other there is none.

I don’t know when it became socially acceptable to spray bubbly all over people at a club, but if I got dressed up to go out and some jackass sprayed shit all over me, I’d break his orbital bone as well. I wouldn’t rob him.

It’s probably a combination of him not really remembering, visually, who it was to ID them and him not wanting to look like a total douchebag. He can’t really look more douchey than he already does, so I don’t understand the problem their. He really doesn’t need to worry about looking to douchey anyways. He was a target either way. I am in no way saying he didn’t earn the target on his back, cuz he was a tool for spraying booze on a crowd and walking around with all that bling on. In any case though, it’s still shitty to get beat down that way.

How about a post about how much of a liar kobe is for saying he’s happy with his roster….really only need to mention sasha, but with gasol being softer than odem and odem being softer than charmin, there’s no way kobe is happy with this roster. Then you could go into a rant about how much better Queen LeGlobal is that Kobe. That should get comments flowing.

So have our Club-going mentality become the same as Third World countries now and I understand the Bad-ethics of spraying bubbly-on-patrons BUT do wet-clothes or even stained-clothes equate to killing someone or even an extended hospital-stay for the idiot-in-question (Jevon)

If that story is true… well, then he sort of deserved it. I don’t want some guy I don’t know spraying Champagne on my dress clothes, none of which I actually get to drink. I can’t believe he floated that BS hote room story – my immediate thoughts were, wouldn’t it be on camera! Turns out some of these football players aren’t geniuses, who’d of thunk it?
