Over on ebay right now you can find an auction winding down for an apple core. Not just any apple core – but the one that LeBatard was referring to in his “golf is not a sport” argument. That’s right, it’s the core of the apple that Tiger Woods was seen eating during the US Open.

The bidding started at $100 and there have now been over 100 bids. The apple core is currently selling for a cool $36,000. I just hope the winning bidder doesn’t forget to take the $6 for shipping into account when he placed his bid. Here’s the brain-defying description:

There you go, PGA! The answer to your ratings dilema is right there – You can clone Tiger Woods. The DNA is right there, perfectly intact. I guess you could say that empty beer cups are the amber of the 21st Century.

I love how the guy put the apple in front of a picture of Tiger Woods. That’s when I knew this was the real deal. You can’t fake that. And there are lots of witness’. (Also impossible to fake.) I have to say it’s pretty noble that all moneys are belonging to his daughter’s college fund.

I guess it’s true what they say – One man’s trash makes some idiot rich.
