Sterling check that out.
Of course Intern Bill would have a gigantic fat woman in the picture he submitted.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:35 PM
Is it sad that the Tour de France is going to help fill my time between the end of Euro 2008 and the NFL preseason?
June 30th, 2008 at 3:36 PM
@BBS – Yes. Yes it is.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:36 PM
Inoa might not have gotten as much money as he deserved.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:39 PM
i wouldnt mind having sex with natalie gulbis on the golf course.
/in no mood for innuendo
June 30th, 2008 at 3:39 PM
I figured it was. I actually like watching the cycling though. I know that it’s really weird.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:40 PM

June 30th, 2008 at 3:41 PM

Thanks for the Cruz sisters. Definitely breaks up the afternoon.

June 30th, 2008 at 3:44 PM
the hole anna rawson is on so she can join in.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:45 PM
TBL, are you listening to Mad DOg? he is getting off thinking about Lincecum on the cover of SI. says he wouldn’t trade him for ANY player in the NL
June 30th, 2008 at 3:45 PM
/the real spence
June 30th, 2008 at 3:45 PM
I’m liking all the Atlanta links today, TBL – Josh Smith, the story about the bear from the AJC, the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Perhaps ATL can be TBL’s Southern Bureau headquarters (is that redundant?)
June 30th, 2008 at 3:46 PM
I checked out one of TBL’s sponsors over the weekend, and I highly recommend everyone gives it a whirl. Even if you don’t have any intention of buying American Apparel clothes at least take gander at this page.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:46 PM
Yes, Yes. Intern picture No, Yes, No No Not even with your d^*k
June 30th, 2008 at 3:47 PM
Oh NO! The team that gets all the HD broadcasts gets more viewers. Im sold.
Too bad more people actually go to the stadium in D.C. than B-More. The Nats don’t even get the attendance bump known as the Yanks/Sox.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:50 PM
damnit clown, i don’t want that secret to get out.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:51 PM
The Nats are still new to this town and so it will take a while for them to really establish a fan base. Also, it doesn’t help that they can’t hit and so needless to say, they are very boring to watch. I think once they finally start getting a team together, the fans will show up.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:52 PM
Why the hell did Michelle Wie get all that freaking hype when there are all these smoking hot women golfer’s who are 20 times better at golf than her? Isn’t this America?
June 30th, 2008 at 3:53 PM
Perhaps ATL can be TBL’s Southern Bureau headquarters (is that redundant?)
Tampa
June 30th, 2008 at 3:53 PM
pkiguy@-The Royals say good luck to you and your boring baseball and attendance problems.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:55 PM
Oh yeah Sterling a brand new first year stadium there’s no attendance bump there. Oh wait maybe there isn’t considering 29,000 in a brand new stadium is pathetic. You got us beat by 2,000 a game, we have sucked for 10 years, and our stadium is 15 years old, beating us by 2,000 is dreadful, but DC really wanted baseball, not just the idea of it.
Although our 15 year old stadium is better than your brand new one.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:56 PM
PK, you are right about that, DC is a front runner town, just ask the Capitals.
The only team they support through thick or thin is the Redskins.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:56 PM
Pretty compelling monetary argument for Lebron staying in Cleveland.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:58 PM
because michelle wie is only 19 years old and has the most technically sound and beautiful swing on either tour. she’s just batshit crazy and has terrible, TERRIBLE parents. if she was ok in her head, she could play with the men.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:58 PM
You know what isn’t hot? Serena Williams. That chick (or so they say) could probably squat lift a DC-10. I could throw a pair of my jeans around one of her thighs, seriously.
June 30th, 2008 at 3:59 PM
wie pt. 2
June 30th, 2008 at 3:59 PM
Honestly Sterlin, I think we can both agree it is sad that we have to argue about things like this, rather than wins/losses. I will be happy when that day comes.
June 30th, 2008 at 4:03 PM
You think 5 million dollars is going to keep LeBron in Cleveland?
June 30th, 2008 at 4:07 PM
I have no idea if $5 mill. will keep Lebron in Cleveland. The author of that post says the difference is $30+ mill. based on the contract allowances by the CBA. $30 Million > $5 Million
June 30th, 2008 at 4:10 PM
There is no argument for the DH in the NL, so I won’t even bother clicking on that link.
June 30th, 2008 at 4:11 PM
That was a pretty good LeBron piece.
He’s still coming to New York though. Why live in Cleveland when you can live here?
June 30th, 2008 at 4:13 PM
From msnbc sports article
Very valid point. Imagine having a huge game hitting streak dumped because you were 0-2 in the 5th inning. Then you hit safely in the next 20 games. Who gets to change these rules. Doesn’t seem right.
June 30th, 2008 at 4:14 PM
/previous comment, completely out of the blue.
June 30th, 2008 at 4:15 PM
I think the reason the Skins are so popular here is because they have actually won something. None of the other franchises in the area have won anything. Hockey started to really get some talk last season when they were winning. In this town, everyone is here for about 5 years and then they move away. It is hard to really establish a fan base, when your fans are here for only a short amount of time.
June 30th, 2008 at 4:16 PM
@Mike NYC: Cost of living? (trying…really hard)
And regarding that picture, I cant remember where I saw it, but the caption was “jealousy stands in the hallway and wears a coat”
June 30th, 2008 at 4:17 PM
Cereal?
June 30th, 2008 at 4:18 PM
Honestly Sterlin, I think we can both agree it is sad that we have to argue about things like this, rather than wins/losses. I will be happy when that day comes.
Of course that’s true, unfortunately for you the Sox/Yanks spend better than the O’s and the Rays have more talent. It could be a while. The fact the Nats are in the NL gives them a ray of hope.
Im also goin to use the weather as a reason for the attendance not being amazin. It seems like it rains during rush hour daily here. I have never seen it like this.
Ben’s Chilli Bowl > Boogs (Sorry, it hurts, but its true, and giffords is the shit)
June 30th, 2008 at 4:18 PM
Random and slightly odd, but the guy mentioned in the Atlanta Business Chronicle article, that built the attendance predictor model, plays keyboard in my cover band. True story. See, you never know when you’re talking to a celebrity on The Big Lead!
/hangs head in shame, and realizes his cover band sucks badly.
June 30th, 2008 at 4:21 PM
not listening to Mad Dog, but i’ll have a post on those guys tomorrow
Cover Band > Blogger
June 30th, 2008 at 4:23 PM
TBL – you haven’t heard my band.
June 30th, 2008 at 4:24 PM
Spending better doesn’t equal wins, ask the Mets.
The O’s have played way beyond expectations this year, I have great hope for them. I think them and the Rays will be 1-2 in the AL East in 3 years.
June 30th, 2008 at 4:24 PM
cereal? the hell?
June 30th, 2008 at 4:25 PM
If enough people nominate yours truly … well, it’d make me a happy camper. Imagine if I finished ahead of someone like Derek Fisher or Jose Vizcaino?
June 30th, 2008 at 4:27 PM
gotcha, TBL
June 30th, 2008 at 4:32 PM
As much as the national league sucks compared to the american league this year, at least the national league voters aren’t retarded and voted for the best players at each position, unlike the american league voters.
June 30th, 2008 at 4:47 PM
@BCeagles – if only NL voters put McCann ahead of Soto…considering McCann is ahead of him in just about every single category
June 30th, 2008 at 4:54 PM
@bceagles. You sure about that, because idiot cubs fans still have fukudome in there as well.
June 30th, 2008 at 5:06 PM
Great write up on LeBron. I think the fact that he spent two years building his dream house here helps. Don’t discount the home town factor, I’m pretty sure his baby mama is from here too.
One thing often overlooked, he seems pretty private. Obviously I don’t know him but you never see him in celeb mags or gossip columns. In Clev he can be the man and everyone kind of leaves him alone, in NY there’s people taking pics of you and your kids and following you all day every day. Maybe thats what he wants, but it doesn’t seem that way to me.
June 30th, 2008 at 6:41 PM
Can somebody please explain the reasoning behind intern Bills pic submission? Is it representative of a hungry Spanish team waiting in the wings to eat up all of the unwitting Euro nations to become EURO champions?
