Its hard to tell what point he is trying to make. NYC still has good point guard but not nba stars? Why then does he list Rose, Jennings, Bayless and Lawson. How are they better than Telfair? Kemba Walker is going to Uconn and I would think probably would like to go to the NBA (as oppoed to trying to go to the NBA and failing but dropping 66 in a sumemr game no one heard of). This column is odd. And how does he not mention Lance Stevenson. Has had tons of hype for a few years now and even goes to Lincoln.

@moleman: that’s because there’s nothing to do in new york. all the clubs close at 8PM. Why would anyone want to go there.

The NY point guard wasn’t killed by Telfair. Starbury killed it years before that. Everyone copied their “game” after Marbury made it to the NBA. Not realizing that although it brings good stats, that style doesn’t help you win.

its always seemed weird to me that new york city lacks any dominant college sports teams (major college sports, dont someone pull out a team handball championship or something)
