Q: The girls often write on the posters “Alex, will you marry me!”
A: All the time. Got used to it and don’t feel shy anymore. Sometimes after the game, they pull up T-shirts and ask to sign on the chest. I am all for it. Never asked to sign on the passport. When someone asks to sign on the money I always refuse. Bad omen.

DR C – How did Weekend at Bernie’s 2 get made? I’m really curious about that. The first one was terrible. BUT A SECOND ONE?
I think it killed Silverman’s career. McCarthy’s was already dead.

freind’s possible fake story about ovechkin but still fun anyway.
i live in a dc and one of my friends is a huge caps fan and he tries to go to the same bars as the caps players with some apparent success. he says that he has seen ovechkin and greene out together a few times and when they have off days their routine is to alternate drinking and DDing. so one time he says ovehckin in a car stopped outside adams morgan with greene piss drunk in the passenger seat and he yells to him and asks him what he is doing. ovehckin yells back in a theick russian accent, “i’ve been drinking 30 red bull and vodkas!” so my friend tells him that is bullshit, theres no way you drank 30 redbulls. so ovechkin just yells back “you dont believe me? FUCK YOU!” and drives away.
theres another story about ovchkin being the drunk one of the pair but i forget it. i’ll have to ask him about it next time i see him.

i like the part of the interview where he says he was pulled over doing 165 by the white house (you don’t say?) and the cop let him go when ovechkin gave him 10 caps tickets.

If anyone wants to stay up late tonight – Weekend at Bernie’s II is playing on Comedy Central at 2am. Or you can watch it while you’re getting ready for work tomorrow, as it will show again at 8am.

there was a good article somewhere recently on ovie’s brother, he works for some team that plays at the verizon center (wnba team maybe, dont know if they have one) as a video editor. pretty cool, he said he had been living off his brother but was now trying to make it on his own.

Tough to hate Ovechkin.
As for the “Weekend at Bernie” movies, the first one was good, but I’m positive it didn’t deserve a sequel.
And if anything killed Silverman’s career, it was Caddyshack II.
