That’s the Best He Could Do?
Olympics, Race July 29th. 2008, 5:00pm
We’re not familiar with the comedic stylings of the “mystery man” who calls himself “Betting Fool,” but in his quest to be edgy, he fumbled this one over the weekend:
I glanced occasionally at USA basketball’s blowout of the Steve Nash-less Canadians on Friday. Nash might have helped the Canucks keep it within 35 or so, but it was still pretty grim. I didn’t realize black guys could be that bad at basketball.
Discuss.
Fool ‘brawls’ with Danica, Michelle and the WNBA’s bad girls, by way of a certain gopher (SF Gate)

Angola finds his post racist.

I found his comments on Michelle Wie mildly entertaining.

Waaaa. Chill people.
July 29th, 2008 at 5:12 PM
It’s racist sounding because it’s not funny.
July 29th, 2008 at 5:20 PM
Yeah there’s not an ounce of racism in that failed attempt at humor. Saying things like blacks jump higher, whites can’t dance, and Mexicans smell is different from a manager refusing to higher an African American because he’s black..
Big difference folks.

This dude’s just ripping on people because that’s the chic thing to do in sports media today. Especially if you have no real talent or writing ability.

i hate espn right now. why you ask? check out their BREAKING NEWS in the upper right hand corner.
July 29th, 2008 at 5:23 PM
I agree. He should have added a “wakka wakka” to the end of it.
July 29th, 2008 at 5:24 PM
Well I’m glad he sent that in. Now people can stop the will he/won’t he nonsense and just focus on where will he play, which brings us all one step closer to the end of the Favre saga.
July 29th, 2008 at 5:25 PM
damn it sparty. i was hoping it was some Yankees news or something.
July 29th, 2008 at 5:25 PM
Unreal
July 29th, 2008 at 5:26 PM
For those of us still at work …. Favre?
July 29th, 2008 at 5:26 PM
@sparty This is the only piece of actual “news” since this whole thing started weeks ago.
July 29th, 2008 at 5:26 PM
nah, i hate what constitutes as breaking news with them
July 29th, 2008 at 5:28 PM
For those still at work, Favre faxed his reinstatement letter this afternoon.
July 29th, 2008 at 5:28 PM
Oh, on the .com. Thought he meant on the ESPN scroll for some reason …
July 29th, 2008 at 5:29 PM
true-and it would have been ok if they didn’t bombard you with, Brett is passing at a high school, Brett is in GB for the weekend, Brett is taking a poop reading a Vikings Program…
July 29th, 2008 at 5:29 PM
sorry, should have added that. but i am sure it is there too.
July 29th, 2008 at 5:31 PM
@Mike, that’s funny. I was wondering why your work would allow you to view TBL but not ESPN.
July 29th, 2008 at 5:33 PM
maybe his work blocks known time wasters like ESPN, SI, etc but not blogs
July 29th, 2008 at 5:40 PM
@jeeves. Yeah, because I have never wasted any time on this blog…
July 29th, 2008 at 5:41 PM
I feel like if you make a bad joke all you need to do is put a ,”Hey, OH!” at the end.
Ed McMahon knows what I’m talking about.
Too soon?
Oh wait he’s still alive.
