September 19th, 2008 at 8:08 AM
friday work days are no different than monday-thursday…
TBL-do we get the douchebag Curt Schilling post later today?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:09 AM
As if I wasn’t already sure Eddie Vedder was a douchebag.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:10 AM
Thank you for starting my first day off in two and a half weeks on a solid note with Mila. mmmmmm
My brother stabbed me in the arm over the last Eggo Waffle once. I didn’t even want the damn waffle, I just didn’t want him to eat it. I miss my brother.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:12 AM
I’ll take the Caesar Salad and the Hot Pocket. Is the middle frozen, or boiling lava hot?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:15 AM
Leggo my eggo?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:15 AM

September 19th, 2008 at 8:19 AM
@Sparty: There’s never such a thing as too much Jim Gaffigan.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:19 AM
Anyone else listen to the Vedder song? I thought it was pretty cool.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:20 AM
@Roethlishodog: “Will it burn my mouth?”
“It will DESTROY your mouth.”
September 19th, 2008 at 8:28 AM
no joke…
September 19th, 2008 at 8:29 AM
no clue what curt schilling did, and frankly, im sick of that douche
September 19th, 2008 at 8:29 AM
Who would have taken Tennessee at +7.5 anyway? They haven’t played a good team yet, and they’re 1-1. I say Florida by 3 touchdowns, I don’t care that they’re at Rocky Top.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:31 AM
TBL: he opened his mouth again. Not exactly breaking news.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:32 AM
TBL- just still bitching about Manny.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:34 AM
This is a bit old, but, since nothing else is going on, I figured I’d share. I was checking out some of the older Round Ups I have missed, and was reading the Top Ten Chokers from Fox. On this list was the ‘92 Oilers losing to the Buffalo Bills, led by Frank Reich.
Story: My mom dated Mr. Reich for like 4 and half years before she dumped him before their senior year in high school. Frank went on to engineer the greatest comebacks in college and pro football, my Dad went on to sell Harley’s. Do I have a right to be pissed at my Mom? Or should I be pissed at my Dad, since he’s the reason they broke up?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:34 AM
I am so glad WVU is terrible, I doubt Stewart makes it past December. Thats what you get for being booger eating meatballs WVU fans, a bad team and a bad coach. After the way you treated your last coach, good luck getting anyone with a pulse, welcome to irrelevant, luckily you’re already familiar with the scenery.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:35 AM
Eddie ditches his Mariners for the first place Cubs. What a dick.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:36 AM
well, Frank no longer has that distinction in the college ranks, that would belong to Mr. Drew Stanton.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:38 AM
Touche Sparty. By the way, I’m hoping that someone for the Spartans “accidentally” tears every ligament in Weis’s other knee this week.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:39 AM
Yeah, he really blew it. They should have at least had a shot to win it in regulation, but decided to run the ball on that drive, their players didn’t seem coached to get out of bounds after the catch, and they had two timeouts which were used poorly (one not at all). It was like they had never practiced the two minute offense. There’s no excuse for the way they closed out the 4th quarter.
He’s gonna make them look real stupid for giving him that 6 year contract.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:39 AM
That postsecret site is funny.
I hate the Rays and all of their fans.
/TBL
September 19th, 2008 at 8:40 AM
@rocketsfan-we will do our best.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:40 AM
Too late.
Maybe they can get Lane Kiffin. I hear he is available.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:42 AM
how bout them Buffs? 17-14 in OT!
Took em at +3 and never saw them score a point. Missed most of the first half, saw them turn the ball over twice in the redzone, then missed OT because I was taking the dog out. Judging by some comments, I have Stewart to thank.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:43 AM
There’s gonna be some competition for Lane Kiffin I think. I’m not sure West Virginia would be able to woo him over some other schools that might be in the market for a coach this coming offseason.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:43 AM
No way they get Kiffin, he’ll have plenty of offers. You don’t think coaches around the country saw how they treated a guy they liked? That job is poison, and they have no one to blame but themselves.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:44 AM
Absolutely you do. I had Colorado to win straight up. Bill Stewart is my favorite idiot in the world right now.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:44 AM
Why does Eddie Veder have to be a douche bag. I used to like Pearl Jam.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:46 AM
way to ruin a good story Sparty.
@rocketsFan- that was a great story. I have been a Bills fan my entire life.
and i agree with cassino. I wouldn’t take Tenn +7.5
September 19th, 2008 at 8:47 AM
My morning just became very unproductive (more than usual). Streaming feed of the Ryder Cup on pga.com
September 19th, 2008 at 8:47 AM
sorry Irish…I am a man about the facts.
Tell your buddy Lee Evans to get his ass into the end zone this week.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:48 AM
Sorry, I’m just a bitter Raiders fan. Rumor has Kiffin @ Syracuse. . . but like you all have mentioned, he’s going to get some offers and can pick and choose what he wants. I really like Kiff and will root for him where ever he goes.
Random: Who replaces Kiff after the bye week? Ryan? Lofton? Knapp? Dark Horse: Jim Fassel.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:50 AM
I don’t understand why he would go to Syracuse, that program is dead. I’m sure he can find another job at a school that hasn’t lost 30 games in the last 4 years
September 19th, 2008 at 8:51 AM
Anyone know the Baylor/Uconn spread tonight? I’m at work and can’t get on any gambling sites.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:51 AM
Eddie Vedder was born in Evanston and has been a Cubs fan his whole life. Writing a song for his team doesn’t make him a douche.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:51 AM
I’d like to think that Washington goes after Kiffin pretty hard, and that he’d give it some real consideration given his Pac-10 background.
Maybe that’s just wishful thinking though.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:51 AM
same here roeth, im suprised mine is streaming so well. Normally it gets so choppy i cant even watch it
September 19th, 2008 at 8:52 AM
Mila Kunis has a delicately beautiful face and a body that could melt a cheese sandwich from across the room. And breasts that seem to say “Hey look at these”. She’s the kind of woman who makes you want to drop to your knees and thank god you’re a man. Yep, she reminds me of my mother all right.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:54 AM
Also, Ernie Banks asked him to do it. I’m a White Sox fan, but if Ernie Banks asks me to write a song about the Cubs, I’m doing it.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:55 AM
@ill- Baylor +13 @Uconn
September 19th, 2008 at 8:56 AM
I like UConn.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:56 AM
Tommy Z – this odd numbered holes only stuff is weak though.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:57 AM
Happy stop staring. For God’s sake, you’re looking at her like she’s your mother.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:58 AM
@ Irish: I often wonder what could have been. My Dad hates sports and doesn’t watch them, can’t name more than 5 teams in all of sports. And get this: three months before they knew I was going to exist, they moved away from Houston. My Mom had a great job working as a secretary for some company (I don’t remember what) and the guy had season tickets to the Astros at the Astro Dome, the Rockets at the Summit, and the Oilers. They went to Stros and Rockets games frequently, and my mom tells me that’s where “we first had real Mexican food like nachos and tacos.” The combo of these two stories makes me think my Mom doesn’t really love me.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:58 AM
Eddie Vedder was born in Evanston and has been a Cubs fan his whole life. Writing a song for his team doesn’t make him a douche.
Benji I know but I hate the cubs so Im bashing them and their fans and after yesterday I don’t understand why your holding veder’s sack. Ryan Braun is a Asshole.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:59 AM
yeah that does suck, but its at least better than when they would only show one or two holes for the first two days of the majors
September 19th, 2008 at 9:00 AM
Irish, thanks.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:03 AM
fire Al Groh, can’t be said loud enough
September 19th, 2008 at 9:03 AM
i was pointing out to the person that said he abandoned his team, the Mariners. that doesn’t make him a douche, being a Cubs fan does. i’m not holding Eddie’s sack.
Tampa, i don’t want to talk about Ryan Braun and his awful fielding. i knew it would hurt the team in a big spot at some point this year.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:04 AM
@Rocketsfan: How old are you? you still sound upset about this although the stuff happened before you were born.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:04 AM
Also, Ernie Banks asked him to do it. I’m a White Sox fan, but if Ernie Banks asks me to write a song about the Cubs, I’m doing it.
Ernie down with Pearl Jam? Bullshit. First of all hes black second he like 80. Black Old people listening to Peal Jam? I might get my mom a Radiohead Album and see what happens.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:10 AM
I know a guy whose mom dated Rece Davis and then married his loser dad, he’s still pissed about it to this day.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:11 AM
@ Benji: I’m 23. I’m not really that upset, I just think there is a lot of irony. The Frank Reich thing is fun to screw with my Dad about because he still calls him “that A-hole Reich.” The living in Houston stuff would have been nice so that I could have watched the Rockets every game growing up. Such is life.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:12 AM
there will be a schilling post.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:12 AM
WHAT? please do elaborate, if not here, via email.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:17 AM
I gotta add that to the list
1. No Fantasy Football
2. No National Anthem
3. No Pearl Jam
Got it.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:20 AM
@Happy-Correct.I can add more to that list.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:21 AM
Tampa..I am sure all Ernie knew was the faggy looking guy always hanging on Kerry Woods nuts plays music…so he was being polite…Plus BB King may not have been available
September 19th, 2008 at 9:21 AM
you should counter the “stuff white people like” website with “stuff black people hate”
September 19th, 2008 at 9:21 AM
*Kerry Wood
September 19th, 2008 at 9:22 AM
@Happy: Stuff Black People Like
September 19th, 2008 at 9:22 AM
Is this like the opposite of the What White People Like website? I never saw the humor, but then again I’m white, so that probably explains why.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:23 AM
Women be shopping!!!
September 19th, 2008 at 9:23 AM
*Kerry Wood
James Woods is insulted
September 19th, 2008 at 9:28 AM
Oops: Stuff Black People Like
September 19th, 2008 at 9:28 AM
Women be shopping!!!
HAHA I forgot where that is from.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:31 AM
Anyone know the story on UConn? I thought Baylor had a couple decent athletes on their squad. That +13 for UConn seems pretty high, although it is Baylor.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:36 AM
Robert Griffin is legit. Ride Baylor all the way to Profitville, population: you.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:36 AM
UConn has made a lot of strides since making the jump up to 1A. They can compete with just about anybody in the Big East. I know that’s not saying much, but keep in mind they were 1AA only 8 years ago.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:39 AM
Hard to take Baylor after seeing them get flattened by Wake.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:41 AM
@rocketsfan, It was glorious watching the Rockets growing up. Until Hakeem retired at least
September 19th, 2008 at 10:35 AM
Everyone keeps saying Kiffin to the Cuse.. but, Al Davis is a HUGE Cuse donor (sorry if this has already been said). It would be very interesting if the guy was fired and then wound up at Davis’ alma mater.
I’m hearing that Glen Mason will get a huge push, considering if offensive coordinator from Minnesota just got hired a year ago there, and Mason is a NJ guy..
September 19th, 2008 at 12:07 PM
Who is Fernando Rooney? Love child of Fernando Rodney and Andy Rooney, perhaps?
September 19th, 2008 at 9:48 PM
The only people taking Tennessee plus 7.5 are either idiots looking to lose money or Vol fans who are too blinded by loyalty to the Big Orange to see the truth. Now, I love the Vols and would like nothing more than to be proven wrong Saturday. But everything points to a 30-point Gator win.
1) Trying to predict which direction the sun will rise in the morning is less predictable than the Vol offense.
2) You’re the opposition and need five yards or less? No problem! A hard count will create an offsides penalty at least once a game.
3) Look at the sidelines. Meyer has creativity and imagination that leads to victories. Fulmer? Well, he’s probably a nice man with a firm handshake.
Florida wins, 45-17 … and the Vols’ final seven points come with the Gator starters resting on the sideline.
