Didn’t you tell me that ND would kick Sparty all over the field on Saturday? It didn’t happen. They cuold play 10 times and the outcome would be the same. Charlie Cheeseburger just isn’t cutting it and its amazing that he continues to be cut breaks… It doesn’t hurt my feelings. I hope he stays for 10 more years.

As for ND… They are 1 of 2 fumbles in the end zone by SDSU from being 1-2. They still have 0 running game. Floyd looks like an absolutely bad ass, which is they first guy in 3 years to look like it for ND. Tate and others look more than serviceable. Clausen may turn into a decent QB, but he certainly wasn’t as good as advertised coming out of HS. Their line is still not good.

Michigan State flat out man-handled them. I expect Purdue to do the same next Saturday. If anything, Saturday showed me that Michigan is REALLY bad. ND still looked overmatched against a decent, but not great Michigan State team.

Good to see that the “decided schematic advantage” is still squarely with Notre Dame. Oh, and how are those losses to Michigan State sitting? I’m amazed at how far ND has fallen by allowing Cheeseburger Charlie to still get a free ride and meal(s).

is anyone expecting a bcs game this year? no. is a bowl game out of the question? i dont think so. a seven win season would be a marked improvement. i dont think anyone is turning on weis, for the most part he does seem to recruit good kids and his last two classes have been very talented (receivers especially). theyve got a new defense, alot of young players, and tons of pressure. he doesnt have a blank check but he is definitely going to get more noose room than willingham got. sure race may be a factor, but i think most fans would much rather have weis than willingham right now. granted most might rather have urban too.

Since JoePa took over in ‘66, PSU has had 5 undefeated seasons, with only 1 of those resulting in a national title (the ‘82 team had 1 loss). In the same timeframe, ND has 3 undefeated seasons, yet has 4 national titles. (Further proof of how f’ed up the NC selection process was/is)

The ‘69 undefeated team was arguably robbed of the title by Nixon, and the ‘94 team was unjustly penalized simply because of the national pity party for Osborne (who had never won a NC at Nebraska).
