There are a zillion crazy Mad Max stories…

he drove around Sugar Land in his purple Porsche all the time. He was easy to spot. Yes, he had a *purple* car.

when he got evicted from his house… the neighbors complained of an awful smell weeks later – seems Mad Max must have distrusted garbagemen because he left a garage filled with trash and who-knows-what.

Classy guy. But he got us a ring, so he’s mostly okay in my book.

I fail to see what O.J. Mayo did that compares at all to what Mad Max did in his career. Has he demonstrated sociopathic behavior? If you’re gonna fluff Klosterman, TBL, at least find something he’s written that makes an iota of sense. Perhaps his old essay on the 86 Celtics? The Maxwell/Mayo comparison is completely nonsensical. In fact, the only things I can see that they have in common are 1) they’re both black, and 2) Their last names begin with the letter ‘M’
