At 7:30 on TBS, the 88-74 Twins meet the 88-74 White Sox, and the winner faces the Devil Rays in the ALDS. John Danks (11-9, 3.47) will take the mound for the Sox opposite Minnesota’s Nick Blackburn (11-10, 4.14). Chicago is asking its fans to wear black to Tuesday’s game to create the effect of a “blackout” in the stands. Sure worked out well for the Georgia Bulldogs this weekend.

Minnesota owns a 35-46 road record while the Sox were 53-28 at home in the regular season. Aaron Gleeman points out that the White Sox have a small statistical advantage but he might just be doing that reverse jinx thing we do all the time. Blackburn beat the White Sox last week, but Ozzie Guillen, naturally, was unimpressed: “I’ll take my chance against him if he pitches the way he pitched last time,” Guillen said Monday. “He didn’t pitch well. When you’ve got the bullpen warming up in the second inning … we just didn’t approach him the right way.” Few things that Ozzie Guillen say don’t make us chuckle.

Heard Mike Tirico say on the radio that the Twins are the funnest team to watch. Before 90210 and after our basketball game, we plan on putting this to the test.
