This is a potentially dangerous weekend for at least three BCS hopefuls. Lee Diekemper takes a look.

Tonight
No. 9 BYU at TCU, 8 p.m., Versus

This should be the biggest hurdle for the Cougars until their showdown with Utah to end the regular season. TCU was ranked and undefeated until it ran into then-top ranked Oklahoma. With a BYU win, milk and cookies will be abundant until the wee hours in Provo. Pick: Horned Frogs.

Saturday
No. 22 Vanderbilt at No. 10 Georgia, 12:30, Raycom/GamePlan

It was fun while it lasted for Vandy. If Vandy somehow wins this game, Uga will have to be housetrained all over again. Pick: Bulldogs.

No. 12 Ohio State at No. 20 Michigan State. 3:30 p.m., ABC
The best team in Michigan this season gets its biggest test. So too will uber-quarterback Terrelle Pryor. A win by the Spartans will prove Jim Tressel has developed an allergy to wool. Pick: Buckeyes.

No. 16 Kansas at No. 4 Oklahoma, 3:30 p.m., ABC
This may get ugly. Oklahoma, still seething from the loss to Texas last week, will pound the Jayhawks. In a tragic event shortly after the game, Boomer and Sooner will develop hernias trying to haul a woozy Mark Mangino off the field on the Sooner Schooner. Pick: Sooners.

Michigan at No. 3 Penn State, 4:30 p.m., ESPN
It’s been 12 years and nine games since the Nittany Lions beat Michigan. And Penn State will take all the frustration out amid the whiteout madness of 106,000 at Beaver Stadium. The game will be such a rout, JoePa will need two clean pairs of Dockers on hand. Pick: Nittany Lions.

No. 11 Missouri at No. 1 Texas, 8 p.m., ABC
Can Chase Daniel resume his Heisman Trophy candidacy? To expect Mack Brown to win two big games in as many weeks may be too much to expect. Word is that Brent Musburger has his money on Missouri. Pick: Tigers.
