Andy Roddick’s Nude, $15,000 Tennis Lesson

And it’s not with his fiancee, Brooklyn Decker (who is all her bikini gallery glory here).
At a recent tennis event in Georgia, Roddick was offering a private, hour-long tennis lesson. For whatever reason (bidding not high enough?) Roddick attempted to woo the ladies by saying he’d do it shirtless.
Next step: Andy offered to give the lesson nude. And a woman bid $15,000 for it according to Lisa Guerreo’s blog. Having posed nude herself (NSFW), Lisa asks the obvious question – what would a nude tennis lesson by Anna Kournikova bring in … but we’d actually take it a step further: How much would you pay to sit on the sidelines and watch Anna give an hour long tennis lesson?

Andy Roddick is an over-rated tool.
He is not that over rated, hes just American with a US Open title in ‘03. Anyone who hits the ball as hard as he does is going to have moderate success. Who cares the media blows it up more. His entire game is like a long drive champion. They just can’t distinguish when they need to hit the ball as hard as possible and when you need to work it in there. Thats his only problem. He doesn’t know when to take his foot off the gas pedal to win a match so he just tires himself out and some scrub sneaks past him.

Tampa, i’m not going to lie and say he’s the best ever, but he’s not this terrible guy who never gets out of the first round… sure he’s had his troubles, but who hasn’t. the media just wants him to become the next samparas and thats not him. its like asking randy johnson in his prime to only throw a changeup.

Tampa, exactly what I was thinking. I think AC and I are on the same page. i think he is a decent player, but not nearly as good as he is hyped up, or as good as people lead you to believe. If you ever watch one of his matches they try to make you believe that he is better than Agassi or Sampras ever was. I’ve just never understood all the talk about him.

RealAC – that was the case a few years ago, he has developed a more well rounded game in recent years. he obviously still relies on his serve, but when he had connors as his coach he sort of learned how to hit a better backhand and move closer to the baseline.
the media has by now accepted him for who he is, they no longer try to make into what once was. there is an interesting article about him today on the WWL about the competitor he is.

Roddick is a lot like Barkley, Ewing and others who had to deal with Jordan. Had Federer come after/before Roddick, AR would have 2+ US Open’s as well as 2+ Wimbledon titles. Timing is a bitch and it sucks for Roddick that he had to deal with Federer. He is a good player (top 10 in the world for 7+ years) he is just not a top 3 player…not exactly a reason to hate on a guy.

100% agreed jason. its just you can’t expect him to play like someone hes not. i love roddick. its just a shame that he never got this coaching before he turnred pro or before he was so over-hyped. hes my favorite tennis player. i have no idea why. i just love the way he plays tennis.

spencer is close, but when you compare, phil and sergio have the talent to compete with tiger (i think). roddick is one notch below federer and nadal in terms of pure talent.
RealAC – I didn’t like him a lot when he first came up, but have grown to like him the past few years with his loyalty to davis cup, and the fact that he is not a threat to fed like he was.

Andy Roddick sucks. Every time I pay attention to tennis (usually when I suffer through one of Dan Davis’ SportsCenters on ESPN Radio), Roddick always loses. He sucks. So does Dan Davis.
