Weis on the Cusp of Beating Navy
1-liner, College Football November 15th. 2008, 1:55pmI went out for lunch and missed Jimmy Clausen throw two first half picks in the only college football game that matters this week. (Of course, I wouldn’t have been watching that game if I were home…) The Fighting Irish currently lead Navy 10-7 at Halftime. No wonder TBL was so psyched for this game!

so far tx has their hands full with kansas. wouldn’t you know the backup center gets booted for using a racial slur and the starter gets hurt in practice 1 week later. tx started a true fr. and already has a fumble in their own end of the field.

has clausen been yanked? i saw 13 was the QB … ND has a 27-7 lead and the win is locked up with 440 left.
it was pouring in MD and Weis didn’t put on a hat or jacket or anything. cue the tuna jokes.
michigan just lost to northwestern. go easy on merk.

sharpley is in yeah. if you count the picks as completions clausen only has one pass that didnt get caught today!
guess all that ‘what if notre dame loses to navy’ talk was a bit retarded eh?
November 15th, 2008 at 3:11 PM
and its not being yanked when the game is over and youre going to run the clock down. come on.
November 15th, 2008 at 3:15 PM
230 yards rushing for the irish today, bout time the running game showed up
how about penn state laying a ridiculous egg the first half of their game at home? it will look like a blowout now but that was a nervy nervy halftime im sure. im sure someone will use that to show the big ten is actually good and not to show that penn state just isnt that good
November 15th, 2008 at 3:23 PM
whoa guess they got an onside kick?
November 15th, 2008 at 3:25 PM
if navy gets this onside kick, we could be looking at one of the most insane 4th quarter comebacks, ever.
it was 27-7 with like 4 mins left.
now 27-21 after navy scored, got an onsides, and scored.
November 15th, 2008 at 3:25 PM

QB escapes a sack and picks up eight …
November 15th, 2008 at 3:28 PM
OHHHHH
navy WR slips and the ball goes through his hands at the 10! he was open
should have been caught
3rd down, :49 left
November 15th, 2008 at 3:29 PM
QB keeper … looks like he converts Navy’s FIRST third down conversion of the game. 1-for-12
spike … 2nd down, but the clock is still running for some dumb reason.
should be :39
November 15th, 2008 at 3:30 PM
sack!!!
loss of 4 yards … navy takes a timeout, but it doesn’t have one … that should be a penalty … clock stopped for no reason.
WHAT??? REFS DON’T REALIZE THEY DONT HAVE ONE LEFT!!!!
November 15th, 2008 at 3:31 PM

November 15th, 2008 at 3:31 PM

November 15th, 2008 at 3:32 PM

November 15th, 2008 at 3:33 PM
final play …
pass incomplete
ND survives
November 15th, 2008 at 3:33 PM
jesus.
do you not lose a timeout from losing a challenge in college?
November 15th, 2008 at 3:33 PM
that would have been an all-time debacle. i’ve never seen 2 onside kicks recovered late in the 4th.
