If the Steelers-Chargers Finish Had Happened in the NBA, It’d Be a Massive Controversy
1-liner, Gambling, NFL November 17th. 2008, 9:30amVegas Owns the NFL: Regarding the insane San Diego-Pittsburgh finish (see the replay here) … Was Tim Donaghy involved? Are we sure the end result didn’t drive this guy to do this? Will there be an investigation into the referees? Why was it reviewed in the first place? Why did the Steelers have 13 penalties, and the Chargers just two? Does anyone else think Fidel Goodell asked NBC not to show the replay last night? (It was briefly discussed.) We were in the 34 percent, thankfully. The 66 percent should have burned Vegas down. Does anyone find it staggering that $100 million was wagered legally on this game?
