Memphis was something like 2-18 from three.

That game was one of the worst basketball games I’ve seen this side of a JV girls came back in HS.

Arkansas gets Oklahoma and Texas at home in a 10 day stretch around New Years. Sucks that the Hogs are so young, but hopefully they can stay competetive. Should be good tests for both teams though (hopefully).

I hate Memphis, just because of Cal. I hate his slick used car salesman demeanor and look. I’ve got nothing against any of the players, but Cal drives me batty. When they missed those FTs down the stretch, I couldn’t be happier just because Cal kept saying it wouldn’t hurt them. I loved it.

I’ve got nothing against Syracuse. I saw the legend Gerry McNamara play in high school and the way he played in the Big East Tourney a few years ago was off the charts amazing to watch.

As a Dukie, I should not like Miami. But I have a lot of respect for them. I like the way Haith has steered that program. Same goes for Clemson and Purnell. Both guys have thier teams ready when they come into Cameron and they don’t back down. It makes the conference better, and I love that. That and I always want them to beat Carolina.

I’m pulling for Standford (Johnny D) and Notre Dame (Mike Brey and ‘Gody) as well

TBL- You see any of Memphis? Saw them since Cuse plays them later. Man Tyreke Evans has ZERO jump shot. He was throwing balls of the backboard from any shot 15 feet and out. The kid is dynamite in the open floor though.

Also Blake Griffin was beastly. He had an awesome open court move were he blew by the defennder but the refs called a bogus travel. Oklahoma is going to be good.

Vandado is a beast underneath the basket. His problem is that he goes to Miss St so surrounding him with talent is always going to be tough. I think they are supposed to be ok this year, but they are still Miss St.

I like Thabeet a lot, but Jarvis is a pure shotblocker. He’s like Sean Williams was at BC. no other tangible skills except the knack for blocking shots.

Irish, you and I are in agreement that Thabeet is tremendously overrated. Out of my own curiosity, is there a team you pull for akin to your love for the Magic?

I like the hype that CBB is stating to get. I’m a basketball junkie so the more times I get to watch hoops, the happier I am.
