The Guardian Covers the NFL
1-liner, NFL November 18th. 2008, 12:15pmThe British Take on the NFL: Between organically-produced prawn sandwiches and scintillating meditations on Damien Hirst, our friends at the Guardian have begun covering the NFL. Â Journalistic entities freed from promotion produce honest sentiment. “When the NFL wants to advertise its parity, it should present the Chicago Bears centre stage. On the verge of becoming a top, top team when they reached the 2007 Super Bowl, now they are distinctly average on offense, average on defense, average on special teams and, yep, average on coaching. Just how the socialist NFL likes it.” (The Guardian)

These douchenozzles should stick to that waste of a good spot for a football field known as soccer
November 18th, 2008 at 12:29 PM
They weren’t on the verge of becoming a top top team. They were who we thought they were.

@KC: This game is like 90% of all the games in the NFL: poorly played, poorly officiated, unexciting games. I have the Sunday ticket and yesterday went to the Auto Show in Miami. Didn’t watch anything except about 25% of the Cowboys game at night.
First time I’ve ever been more into college football then pro football

No but we can crown THEIR asses!
The mediocrity begins with the GM. And fuck you, Brian Urlacher, for asking for more money when you’re a below average middle linebacker.

Great, so the Bears could go to the super bowl and shit the bed just like they did the last time they were there. Wonderful.
November 18th, 2008 at 1:00 PM
Sportsgal- We dont need that negative attitude here. Save that for the Cubs who have been shitting the bed since 1908.
November 18th, 2008 at 1:08 PM
@Tampa: Or the Bills, who’ve been shitting the bed since 1960
November 18th, 2008 at 1:19 PM
Yea the Bills diarrhea’d the bed.
November 18th, 2008 at 1:25 PM
Tampa – we also don’t need the delusional attitude that this team has any shot when they continue to pay mediocre players big money, make stupid coaching mistakes, and draft shitty players in early rounds.
November 18th, 2008 at 1:40 PM
SG-Its ok to be critical but you take it to another level. We are still in it even with all the mistakes the front office has made we almost won a Superbowl. I would expect this from you though you are a cubs fan.

Any guesses on what Kyle Orton’s extension will be?
November 18th, 2008 at 2:04 PM
I wouldn’t make a guesstimate until the season is over. It could be anywhere from 2-5 years.
