I thought the Zags looked damn good. Would have liked to see Daye play with more fire in all three games. I was fired up about the zone they ran, it actually worked as a good defense as opposed to a thrown together joke played only because their man to man wasn’t working (as was the case in previous years). And the refs were pretty bad in the championship, called some ticky tacks and let other egregious fouls go.

Regarding the AFC East:
The Pats are going to have to win out to make the playoffs. Indy is pretty much a lock for the #5, and Baltimore has a game in hand on everyone else for the 6 seed.
I don’t think there’s any scenario in which they will win a tie-breaker against the Jets. So unless the Jets are losing two games to SF, Seattle, Miami, or Buffalo, I think they are in the clear.

Baltimore’s schedule is pretty brutal… I agree the Colts probably get the 5 seed, but I think the AFC East and the final WC come down to the Jets/Pats/Phins.

it would be nice if we could get some talk about how to minimize that impact over the next 5-10 years after all is said and done, our economy would be much better off….instead all we get is doom and gloom, and how bad it all is

short answer: there is no way to minimize it. the system needs to be purged, and the US is afraid to let that happen, so they keep trying these bailouts and stimulus packages but that’s what has worked in the past.

there were some damning quotes from some treasury spokesman about how inflation is going to happen and they “want” or “need” it. Inflation might end up being one of hte ways to wipe out our massive debt.

of course, the little guy (that’s us) gets fucked
