Do you actually believe that or not? I have some serious doubts, who knows, but I’m very skeptical of that report.

I find it hard to believe that they paid him the buyout if he resigned. If it was his choice, well good for him. He’s a good coach, but I think he stayed too loyal to some of his assistants. I guess we’ll find out if he stays out of coaching or takes another job. I would guess his phone is ringing off the hook.

As for a replacement, Auburn is one of the few places where I could see Leech being comfortable. He’s laid back and Auburn is a rural setting like TTech. I think he has to consider “What else can I do at Tech?” I’m not familiar enough with the program to know what he has as backup QB and WR, but he is going to be hard pressed to improve upon this year. A&M has no where to go but up, only making it harder to recruit in Texas. If he is going to make a move, Auburn would be a great spot to start over. Unfortunately, he will be starting over. Auburn can’t pass, can’t catch, and pass blocking is not their forte. That being said, I think he could attract the kind of talent to turn things around in a few years.

Anyone who thinks Richt is in trouble is way off base. Yes, some very loud, “outliers” bitch and moan but I would say Richt has a 75% approval rating AFTER this abortion of a season. Now, what could be the undoing of Richt is if he won’t let go of certain staff members after a struggle next season. What is funny is that people think UGA will be 7-5 next year when in actuality they may be better next year becayse their 0-line will be better as will (more importantly) their d-line which was the downfall this season. I could see another 9-3 season next year to be honest.

Agreed, Fulmer had a fantastic record against Bama … against the Mikes. As Vol fans, did you think either of the last two years facing Bama, “Fulmer is gonna outcoach Saban today!” I sure didn’t. The point on Georgia was taken, although Richt has certainly turned the tide from the Donnan disaster. But, again, Fulmer’s successes seem to have been a decade ago. Do you think Georgia fans feared Fulmer the way they fear Meyer? That was my point, I guess.

Still don’t understand how Glen Mason is unemployed. The guy had success at Kent State, Kansas and Minnesota. Not exactly recruiting hotbeds.
