I don’t wanna work, I just want to bang the Chad drum all day…
Nice to see The Carpetbagger get a link today. Guy’s a fantastic writer, if a suspect human being. The Night of the Gun is pretty damn chilling. I guess journalism/writing is like sports in that no matter how much you’ve fucked up in the past, if you have talent there’s also a cushy spot for you to land.

Oh…and because someone had to say it…Holy Topangas! My 11 year-old self just blew his load!

My question isn’t about the Pro Bowl it’s what was the casting director for American History X thinking when he cast the dickless dad from Boy Meets World as Edward Norton’s racist father in that movie? I mean, what she see in him that the rest of us didn’t?
December 17th, 2008 at 8:13 am
TBL-how do you really feel about all the proposed tax increase in NY?
December 17th, 2008 at 8:14 am
he/she, shim…whatever…
December 17th, 2008 at 8:16 am
terrific. you’re on fire today. i couldn’t sleep last night (blame I Am Legend), so i’ll be sluggish in the comments today.

Philip Rivers belongs in the Pro Bowl ahead of Pennington AND Favre. Better passer rating, more touchdowns, more yards and more yards per attempt. Looks like more of a popularity contest.
December 17th, 2008 at 8:18 am
Aaron Smith – the best 3-4 end in the game. James Farrior owes his Pro Bowl bid to Smith absorbing double teams and disrupting anything going to the left side of the D.
/side note – played most of season while kid was getting leukemia treatments.
December 17th, 2008 at 8:19 am
That’s exactly what the Pro Bowl is, yeah.
Getting upset about Pro Bowl “snubs” is not worth wasting your time or energy. It’s a joke.
December 17th, 2008 at 8:19 am
Oh, TBL I can go on forever about Boy Meets World. Whatever happened to Ben Savage? I mean, we know his older brother directs and has a creative hand in It’s Always Sunny, but whither the white fro-ed perma-virgin? Or Rider Strong? He got his face eaten in that Eli Roth movie, I think…but nothing since? Did they bring back Feeney as the voice of Knight Rider for that remake?
These are the questions that keep me up at night. Well…that and why Ed Johnson had that weed in his car.

Richard Seymour would like to have a word with you.

December 17th, 2008 at 8:21 am
Sportsdork – no way, I’ll take Smith anyday over Seymour.

Someone, a list of the 5 worst coaches in the NFL exists and it doesn’t have Marvin Lewis’ name on it.
December 17th, 2008 at 8:25 am
Damn, should have said “Somehow”.
December 17th, 2008 at 8:27 am
@bsanders — I’ll preface this by saying I hate the f-ing Patriots. But Seymour hasn’t suddenly become an average player just because his team is no longer invincible (well, nearly).
In fact, he’s playing some of the best football of his career this season.
December 17th, 2008 at 8:30 am
sportsdork
- I’m not saying he’s become average, I just think Aaron Smith – right now – is better. And the Pats weren’t nearly invincible last season, they should have lost to Indy, Philly, Balt and NY the first time. All those teams had ‘em beat – then choked. Still pissed at Dungy’s management of Indy’s defensive ends’ play count in that game. Before Mathis and Freeney got tired Brady wasn’t shit. The NFL, where pass rush is the greatest weapon.
December 17th, 2008 at 8:34 am
even mr. feeney got a chub from that pic.
December 17th, 2008 at 8:40 am

went to thailand a few years ago, but there’s no way in hell i would have gone to pet these 500-pound tigers if i had heard about it. i dont care how nice they are or if the tigers have been raised there since they were babies. these guys dont even have weapons or anything.
that is nuts
December 17th, 2008 at 8:50 am
Topanga looks like a whale in that pic. I wouldn’t bat an eye if I saw that.
December 17th, 2008 at 8:51 am
Who’s the mummy with the saggy tits in the top pic?
December 17th, 2008 at 8:51 am
@bsanders — Fair enough. Obviously Smith is having a very good season and I wouldn’t argue with that.
December 17th, 2008 at 8:53 am
Selma is and always will be a goddess.
That NY Post article slamming Steve “prick” Williams is awesome.
December 17th, 2008 at 8:54 am

December 17th, 2008 at 9:20 am
Selma Bouvier?
Her name is Salma.
December 17th, 2008 at 9:29 am
The 4.5% comment was just stupid and irresponsible. The Fed has been buying massive amount sof mortgage backed securities which in turn lowers interest rates.
CURRENTLY MORTGAGE RATES ARE 4.75% for a 30 year fixed rate with 1 origination fee!!! Which is 1% lower than 2 weeks ago.
Hopefully rates will not fall too much more because the best thing that needs to happen is stabilization. Deflation drives down long term rates and we are pretty damn close to a deflationary situation.
December 17th, 2008 at 9:35 am
4.75%?!?! – hook me up with your mortgage broker!
December 17th, 2008 at 9:36 am
Q. Is it racist when the coach isn’t interested in the school, or only when the school isn’t interested in the coach?
A. Trick question. Nobody is interested in the Iowa State job.
December 17th, 2008 at 9:36 am
Ben Savage was on Without a Trace last night… Could this be why Topanga just showed her boo… self on here? Another plus for her would be the lips that look like they could suck a volleyball through a…. ahhh nevermind.
December 17th, 2008 at 9:50 am
Ben Savage actually was dating one of my good girl friends a few years back. He came to visit her when we were in college and just got harrassed out at the bars.
December 17th, 2008 at 10:08 am
Goddamn it! 4.75%?!? I bought 3 months ago and thought I did well to get 6%.
December 17th, 2008 at 10:22 am
You and everybody else Ben60657. Call your mortgage guy now ans ask to do a no cash out Refi.
December 17th, 2008 at 10:51 am
