Jay Cutler: Punk
1-liner, NFL December 26th. 2008, 10:45amCutler vs. Rivers: According to Matt Wilheim of the Chargers, “[Cutler] is a punk. I’m just not a huge fan of his … Jay Cutler and Tony Gonzalez are the biggest crybabies in the league.” Since the Chiefs were mentioned, we should point out that someone besides us believe the Chiefs will be nice next year: the Football Outsiders (blurb in latest ESPN the Mag). Then again, those guys picked the Texans to do some damage this year, and we all know how that turned out. (Union Trib)

I’ll take the Punks and the points, but the Frauds will probably win outright. All those Frauds fans will have Qualcomm rockin’.

He should include his own quarterback in that statement.
As for the Chiefs, if they would have ever learned how to close a game, they’d be a 6-10 team this year. And that includes phoning in the first month of the season.

On that Chiefs comment, San Diego should give the Chiefs a share of their playoff money if they do get in.

those close losses are a good thing. why go 6-10 when you can go 2-14 and get the 2nd pick?
December 26th, 2008 at 11:18 AM
They’ll probably just screw up the pick and take an overrated quarterback instead of addressing their defensive problems. But with Carl Peterson gone, who knows?

Is the 2nd pick versus the 8th, 9th, or 10th really that big a deal in the NFL? Conventional wisdom would say it is, but there’s busts every year in the top 3 picks. You screw that up and all you’re doing is costing yourself more money. I’d rather go into the next season with more wins than a better draft position. It makes for a fun argument though.

I’m not even a Broncos fan and I’m dying for them to beat San Diego this weekend just to shut up that douchebag Rivers. I just want to punch him in his stupid face.
