Ohio State hasn’t shown up in its last two bowl games against the SEC (Lost 41-14 to Florida and 38-24 to LSU), and it appears as if this year’s Texas Longhorns have SEC speed. Especially that Jordan Shipley guy! He’s the new Wes Welker. (PS – Listen closely to what Brent says in that video. On Thursday, Brandon James might have the type of day DeSean Jackson just had against the Vikings.)

Compounding matters, the Big 10 is a smelly 1-6 in bowl games, with Iowa notching the league’s only victory. The Longhorns are an overwhelming 8-point favorite in this one, Colt McCoy’s already said he’s coming back, Mack Brown’s won four bowl games in a row, while Chris Wells refuses to come clean on his future plans and the Sweatervest shields freshman QB Terrelle Pryor from the menacing throng of bic-wielding reporters.

Everyone and their mom has penciled in a Texas victory. Anyone who was on the fence about Texas surely will back the Longhorns after seeing what happened to the last team that played a meaningless bowl game against a team with something to prove (Utah drilled Alabama). Before taking Texas, kindly read this. We’ll probably steer clear of this one (still licking our wounds from the Vikings loss), we’d be on the Buckeyes.

Additionally, some neat stuff can be found here. Is this something new from ESPN? Or has it been that long since we’ve been to its college football page?
