Texas Playing for an Outside Shot at the Title, Ohio State Playing For Big 10 Pride
College Football January 5th. 2009, 6:30pm
Ohio State hasn’t shown up in its last two bowl games against the SEC (Lost 41-14 to Florida and 38-24 to LSU), and it appears as if this year’s Texas Longhorns have SEC speed. Especially that Jordan Shipley guy! He’s the new Wes Welker. (PS – Listen closely to what Brent says in that video. On Thursday, Brandon James might have the type of day DeSean Jackson just had against the Vikings.)
Compounding matters, the Big 10 is a smelly 1-6 in bowl games, with Iowa notching the league’s only victory. The Longhorns are an overwhelming 8-point favorite in this one, Colt McCoy’s already said he’s coming back, Mack Brown’s won four bowl games in a row, while Chris Wells refuses to come clean on his future plans and the Sweatervest shields freshman QB Terrelle Pryor from the menacing throng of bic-wielding reporters.
Everyone and their mom has penciled in a Texas victory. Anyone who was on the fence about Texas surely will back the Longhorns after seeing what happened to the last team that played a meaningless bowl game against a team with something to prove (Utah drilled Alabama). Before taking Texas, kindly read this. We’ll probably steer clear of this one (still licking our wounds from the Vikings loss), we’d be on the Buckeyes.
Additionally, some neat stuff can be found here. Is this something new from ESPN? Or has it been that long since we’ve been to its college football page?

So this is like The Devil playing against Ted Bundy, eh? I’ll go with The Devil (tOSU) if only because the Texas drum beaters have been unusually loud this year.
January 5th, 2009 at 6:35 pm
I don’t think the comparrison to Bama’s failure is apt here since Texas has convinced themselves they have an outside shot at the AP title (they don’t, but whatever it takes).
January 5th, 2009 at 6:48 pm
Gatorade-drinking Gator fan’s reaction to Shipley TD return: Yeah, and Brandon James is eleven thousand times faster than Jordan Shipley! OMG SOONERS LOLLERCOPTERS.
Gator fan’s realistic reaction: Sure, that’s nice, but James doesn’t have a TD since the Tennessee game, has been neutralized by coffin corners and out-of-bounds punts, and would be better replaced by Rainey/Demps if his vision weren’t so phenomenal.
Seriously, Brandon James’ with Devin Hester’s speed? That person would never, ever touch the ball on a kick.
January 5th, 2009 at 6:50 pm
What is this? It’s not a link, that’s for sure.
January 5th, 2009 at 6:57 pm
Please God, for the sake of my sanity, let Texas win.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:02 pm

January 5th, 2009 at 7:02 pm
Which title is Texas playing for exactly?
January 5th, 2009 at 7:09 pm
my bad, rockabye. link added.
rs – texas MAY have an outside shot at the title
January 5th, 2009 at 7:10 pm
wow, longhorns now 9.5 dogs
January 5th, 2009 at 7:12 pm
Which title is Texas playing for exactly?

January 5th, 2009 at 7:13 pm
go longhorns
/fuck every cursed/spence/nickp/all others i am forgetting
//just covering my bases
January 5th, 2009 at 7:13 pm
Which title? The Harris and coaches poll are contractually obligated to vote the Oklahoma/Florida winner number one. Unless we somehow count the AP vote as some kind of national title.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:15 pm
monroe playing awesome early. must be a monday thing?
January 5th, 2009 at 7:19 pm
Unless we somehow count the AP vote as some kind of national title.
Yep, that is it. Quite comical.
/LSU
January 5th, 2009 at 7:21 pm
You mean Mountain West speed?
/Bama
January 5th, 2009 at 7:24 pm
in interest of full disclosure i have Nd minus 3 in this one. Monroe is a beast. I don’t know how he feels but I think he’s a one and done guy.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:24 pm
Some piss poor examples in this link.
In 2001 Oregon was the ticked off team, they were #2 in both polls and got left out.
In 2003, USC did NOT score in the 4th quarter, so I’m not sure what runnig their 5th string rb getting a few carries late in the game has anything to do with this.
In 2004, Auburn still won the sugar bowl correct?
3 out of the 5 examples were crap. Next.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:24 pm
Just saw Frost/Nixon, incredible movie, highly suggest you see it before it is out of theaters. As always, the general public has horrible taste.
Go Texas, though I won’t be watching, eat a dick NCAA
January 5th, 2009 at 7:34 pm
Holy shit my parents are annoying. That is all.
Go Texas.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:35 pm
Jumping on the RS27 train here-
Wait really? I didn’t understand what TBL meant with that headline either. Am I missing something? Are people really talkin shared title if AP #1 or is TBL just bullshittin to appease Longhorn fas on this site?
Seriously – someone please enlighten me.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:39 pm
Frost/Nixon was great, Frank Langella was Tricky Dick.
I hope texas wins 5-4.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:40 pm
Wrestler is best movie out.
/Haven’t seen Frost/Nixon
January 5th, 2009 at 7:42 pm
I caught the tail end of the wrestler trailer today on nixon; for a second I thought it was a movie about Curt Hennig aka Mr Perfect.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:42 pm
I’m a Longhorns fan and alum, but if anybody’s going to get the AP championship other than OU/Florida, it’s got to be Utah, right?
Hook ‘Em.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:43 pm
I’m not an NBA guy but what’s Harangody amount to in the NBA? Anything? I only ask because he dominates a league with some pretty good big men.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:43 pm
No mention of the World Junior Championships gold medal game tonight? Not even from mole or rs? I’m surprised.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:44 pm
Go Buckeyes!
OSU +9.5
Yeah, was thinking the AP vote could go to Texas and thus UT could “claim” a slice of the title. “Outside” probably should have been “longest of longshots, like one in a kazillion”
January 5th, 2009 at 7:45 pm
who wants to do me a solid and vote for me?
http://2008.weblogawards.org/polls/best-sports-blog/
i will probably pander with a post on this tomorrow, though not much of one
January 5th, 2009 at 7:45 pm
Havent really been following it, even though I get the NHL Network.
When I’m on vacation I just assume I can’t watch hockey because I don’t have FSN and forget about it.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:47 pm
I honestly think Awful Announcing is the best sports site, absolutely love the attitude of that site.
I read like six of the blogs on that list so I’m at a loss.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:48 pm
just saw J Will (the Dukie) in the ESPn studio.
favorite memory of his great career? The maryland comeback? choking on the line vs. Indiana?
January 5th, 2009 at 7:48 pm
I’ve seen both and both are great. I probably liked The Wrestler a bit better just because I really enjoy character study movies that follow just one person the entire film, like Half Nelson, for example. Frost/Nixon is by far the best Ron Howard movie I’ve ever seen, though. Kudos to you, Opie.
I’m hoping to see Doubt and Slumdog Millionaire in the next couple days to get all the awards contenders checked off my list. Milk’s very good, but not great, IMO. And if The Dark Knight is nominated for best pic then…well the inmates really have taken hold of the asylum.
/Batman growl’d
January 5th, 2009 at 7:49 pm
Saw the Russia/Canada third period and shootout last night. Fun game to watch. I find myself rooting against Canada because I find their fans and announcers pompous about the whole Juniors tournament. I kind of lost interest after the US lost and I can’t watch the final since I’m at work.
But man Tavares looks great.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:50 pm
Oh, forgot to say, Seven Pounds should win best picture. Obviously.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:51 pm
Jay Williams is one of the best college players of all time, and even if he had tutors, graduating from Duke in three years with any kind of degree is impressive. I have never enjoyed watching an athlete more, in person, than him.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:52 pm
Tavares = Daigle
I don’t know why, I just feel it
January 5th, 2009 at 7:53 pm
Fox should have contracted the pregame work out to the College Gameday crew. This stuff is just a little too cheesy for me. That feature on Colt was ridiculous.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:53 pm
Definitely the Indiana game. I had to go ref an intramural basketball game at halftime and luckily my game was a forfeit. I kept running into the office to get updates on the radio and tell all the refs and players and heard the call by Dave Sims about the potential 4 point play. I was ecstatic when Williams missed that FT. Went back onto the courts to tell everyone and when I said Williams hit a 3 and got fouled everyone gave that “aw man, AGAIN” look. When I told them he missed the FT and they lost they went nuts.
My first foray into the hatred of the Blue Devils.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:53 pm
looks like KSK guys are carpet bombing that poll
January 5th, 2009 at 7:54 pm
Oh. Good. Another band on screen. Joy.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:55 pm
Oh man tell me you’re one of those “I ref intramurals so I know what it’s like to be a pro ref” guys, there are several on here.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:55 pm
KSK has two good writers.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:55 pm
I suppose it should, but the dotting of the i has never impressed me. Not even in person.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:56 pm
@TBL – I’m a duke hater but man that Maryland comeback is an alltime college Bball game/moment. The Indiana game I remember more for the IU 3s than J Will choke
@Bsanders – I thought Doubt was pretty good. Small movie, but good. I know everyone loves SLumdog but I thought it was too sentimental, too hollywoody in fact (yes I know all the praise is focused on how not hollywoody it is) – was really into it for the first hour, but then meh. Still gotta see Frost, Milk, and maybe Waltz with Bashir.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:57 pm
mole- I honestly think Schroeder will be a better player than Tavares, I don’t get the hype. Esposito sucks too I don’t feel too bad about the trade.
rs- I hear ya about their fans and announcers, but this is the most important sporting event of the year for them so I kinda cut them some slack.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:00 pm
Yeah right. When you’re reffing drunk frat dudes that launch 27 foot 3s and trying not to get trampled by the football team I don’t call that “reffing”. I call it survival. Unless the NBA is playing 42-34 games its no where near the same. The only similarity between me and pro refs is wagering on the games.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:00 pm
Kid has no taste for the game, you can tell he doesn’t really want to play hockey, glad they got rid of him.
Luca Caputi had eleven more goals last year and only seven less points than Tavares (both in the OHL), and he was like a sixth round pick for the Pens
January 5th, 2009 at 8:00 pm
This pregame is brutal. Eddie George is the only bright spot
January 5th, 2009 at 8:01 pm
Attaboy. There are some people on here who claim to know what it is like because they ref in college or recreational leagues, and it is fucking infuriating.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:03 pm
I think I could put up 100 points in the OHL, that is the least defensive league I’ve ever seen. I didn’t know this but this was Esposito’s like 4th shot at making Team Canada, and he’s a first round pick. Goes to show how good this team is.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:03 pm
blazers – Exactly. Just get the game going already.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:05 pm
I got a buddy whose been doing varsity b-ball for 4 or 5 years… i guess thats the same…
/eye roll
January 5th, 2009 at 8:06 pm
Thats why I like Caputi, he is huge for a winger, six four a little over two ten, perfect power forward. Like Ryan Malone, but with talent.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:07 pm
Being a student in Bloomington during that run was unbelievable. After that game the streets filled with people. Twas a great great time to be in the greatest collegetown in America… And Little 5 the weekend after the title game? I love Bloomington
January 5th, 2009 at 8:08 pm
Every time I see “University of Phoenix Stadium” I laugh. Almost makes me think U of P is a real school.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:08 pm
Yeah well the state of North Carolina got its revenge on IU by producing Kelvin Sampson. Enjoy it, cocksuckers.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:08 pm
so far fox’s presentation isnt good at all
January 5th, 2009 at 8:09 pm
GOSSIP GIRL IS ON, PEOPLE
fuck the fox pregame
January 5th, 2009 at 8:09 pm
Not quite as bad, but I was looking through my law school’s class roster my first year and there is a student who graduated from Devry (probably spelling that wrong, oh the irony), I mean come on people lets have some admissions standards.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:10 pm
I’m just glad the game isn’t on ABC. Fort Worth doesn’t have that channel in HD. I’ve had to watch the Longhorns not on HD four times this year because of that fact. Pisses me off.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:11 pm
mole – That’s fucking funny. I hope I never need that guy’s legal advice.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:12 pm
mole- a bit OT but how is the LSAT? I’ve been studyin up a bit and so far I’m cool on everything except the games. But I hear it’s pretty normal to struggle with those right away.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:12 pm
RS, you were a ref? cool. i was a ref when i was like 15. was thinking about doing it for awhile in college, but i was too caught up in the school paper and working at the local paper, plus trying to doing stringing gigs for other papers, hook up with chicks, drink, hit the gym, and oh yeah, classes.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:14 pm
Chuck is a fucking mess. Man I’m glad these shows have started back up.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:14 pm
I looked at a sample test I tore out of a buddy’s review book the night before, went drinking, and got a 159. The games are the only part I would bother ’studying’ for just so you’re familiar with them.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:17 pm
It was the perfect gig. Got paid pretty well (for college anyway) The games were always between 7-10 Mondays, Wednesdays, Sundays and I had beer money. Not to mention I got to meet all kinds of people I would have never met and got invited to frat parties without joining a frat, met McNabb, Freeney, and all the other football guys. I have some great stories about them. It worked out. I used to get a paycheck every friday, went home, showered, went to the bank, cashed the check and then spent most of it at the bar next to the bank.
Good times.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:17 pm
TBL – whatd you ref?
Umpiring little league is best HS job ever.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:18 pm
Anyone else’s college offer refereeing as a credit course? App made students take the course before they could ref games, naturally I didn’t do it because fuck that.

January 5th, 2009 at 8:23 pm
Nice. All I want is to hit the 160s. I’m not tryin to go to Harvard or anything so it’s no big.
They just had a little thing on Tavares on TSN. Wasn’t too bad.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:23 pm
First freshman mistake for TP.
But are those UT linebackers running in quicksand?
January 5th, 2009 at 8:24 pm
Yeah I was shooting for 158 because thats what I got on the practice test.
Shit is overrated as far as getting in though goes.
Having worked in the admissions office of our school, just be black or an off the boat asian and you don’t need anything over a 150
January 5th, 2009 at 8:25 pm
And I don’t mean that in a bad way (though I kind of don’t like affirmative action) but most law schools are so desperate for diversity that their standards are very very different for anyone other than white males. And judging by your hockey fandom, I’m gonna say you better get those scores up.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
LSATS work similarly to SATs only for law school correct?
January 5th, 2009 at 8:32 pm
I think I’ll just get an operation to be black. Most of the people that I’ve talked to that apply to and go to law school didn’t have scores that were too off the charts so I’m not too worried.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:32 pm
My law school flipped out about diversity after a drop in the US News rankings. Seemed like the main way organizations were getting money was through diversity stuff.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:33 pm
Yep it’s the standardized admissions test. And works in the same way also that everyone freaks out about it but there are a ton of other factors that are considered, but it does sometimes serve as the foot in the door.
January 5th, 2009 at 8:33 pm
Holy crap, huh? Some interesting nominations in that Weblog Awards.

Gossip girl was solid. looks like OSU is rolling.
too bad i didn’t bet on ND
January 5th, 2009 at 9:14 pm
wow, look at wells explode. his stock must be soaring with this game. oh, wait, they dont play D in the Big 12
we’re on pace for a 2nd half thread on this one. i’m gonna do the shit-shower-shave at halftime and buckle in for a late night
January 5th, 2009 at 9:15 pm
I guess Texas isn’t nearly as good as people think, I mean they DID lose to Texas Tech
January 5th, 2009 at 9:16 pm
What is this play where they don’t throw called?
-Texas’d
January 5th, 2009 at 9:17 pm
And so comes the inevitable Terrelle Pryor/Bubby Brister comparisons.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:17 pm
and i thought mcnabb was elusive yesterday. damn, pryor just jogged away from 2 guys who had him.
i dont care who stays and who goes, tough to not have Pryor as the Heisman leader going into next year. kid is just electrifying. not sure what kind of talent he’ll have around him, though ….
can you already see the, “is pryor built for the NFL?” talk? i figure that’ll happen when he nearly beats penn state on the road next yr
January 5th, 2009 at 9:19 pm
bubby brister has 2 more rings than romo!!!!
January 5th, 2009 at 9:20 pm
why the hell would you have boeckman in the game ever? Pryor is giving Texas fits with his running ability and with Boeckman they don’t have to worry about it. Dumb.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:20 pm
weak to go for a FG here. at least the kid has a cool last name

January 5th, 2009 at 9:22 pm
I dont know if anyone has said this but if Im a NFL scout I want Beanie Wells. I dont get why OSU isnt running that bitch in the Red ZOne.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:22 pm
He will definitely beat penn state next year. They are losing a lot of their experience, especially DBs. I want to see pryor throw the ball like an NFL qb has to throw the ball before I could say yea or nay to him as a pro.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:23 pm
I was thinking the same thing and the only thing I could come up with is Tressel wants to give him some PT in his last bowl game.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:24 pm
I will say I’m rooting for Ohio State if only to not hear Texas fans say “We should have been playing for the title” anymore. How about not losing to Texas Tech?
January 5th, 2009 at 9:25 pm
What is this? Back to back ads off a kickoff? Screw Fox. Can’t wait until this goes to ESPN.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:25 pm
or maybe they should have beat Ok by 20
January 5th, 2009 at 9:26 pm
135 to 2 in terms of rushing yards.
Beanie should get 40 carries. If he doesn’t Tressel is an idiot.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:27 pm
Or play in the Big East
January 5th, 2009 at 9:28 pm
hes got 91 on 10 so far. I think SC still would have beat OSU but if Wells had played they might have had a shot
January 5th, 2009 at 9:29 pm
Thank god for Laura Okmin’s reports.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:30 pm
Beanie should get 40 carries. If he doesn’t Tressel is an idiot.
This is true. Tressel is a dumb bitch he acts like he is spreading the wealth or some shit. He needs to Run that BITCH!!!!
January 5th, 2009 at 9:30 pm
The Sports Hernia long time no see how are you my friend?
January 5th, 2009 at 9:31 pm
Beanie Wells over under on yards this game was 103. Apparently Vegas thought OSU throws the ball 50 times a game.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:32 pm
shipley on 3rd down. when it’s 3rd down, you might as well triple welker, i mean, shipley
January 5th, 2009 at 9:33 pm
David Boston’s contact lens color for this game: Silver, red or both?
January 5th, 2009 at 9:34 pm
if pryor loses both receivers and wells, how is he beating PSU? i think PSU returns most of its offense, right?
i haven’t looked at the defense, but im fairly certain penn state is a top 10 team next year if everyone (maybin?) returns
January 5th, 2009 at 9:35 pm
Our senior receivers suck balls. He’ll be better off without them.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:35 pm
Wow. I wish I had known. How can you not just hammer the over on that one?
January 5th, 2009 at 9:35 pm
recievers suck ass. posey is going to be a STUD
January 5th, 2009 at 9:36 pm
Yea if I would have know that shit I would have bet my first born.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:36 pm
PSU only returns Clark and Royster, 4/5 OL are gone as well as the best 3 recievers they ever had. Ohio State is always the cream of the Big 10 crop, at least since Tressel has been there.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:37 pm
@Tampa: I’m good man, is 2009 the year for you and Vida Guerra?
January 5th, 2009 at 9:39 pm

January 5th, 2009 at 9:48 pm
benson 5-11, 220
wells 6-1, 237
i think wells could be, best case scenario, a brandon jacobs-type back. they can add 10 lbs to him in the nfl easy.

I’m shocked the way this game is going.. I thought Mccoy would be able to run a little in this game. OSU has dialed up blitzes like they did in 2002, but refused to do in 2006, 2007. I’m surprised Mccoy has been this rattled.
This is odd the way it’s playing out like a Big 10 game. (Minus the slow players and the ugly girls).
January 5th, 2009 at 9:51 pm
I just looked up the 2009 OOC opponents for maybe the top 5 (just a guess) next year. Laughable
Texas- Wyoming, Louisiana Monroe, UTEP, Central Florida
USC- San jose State, Ohio State, notre Dame
Florida (if Tebow Stays)- Chaleston Southern, Troy, Florida International, FSU
LSU- Tulane, Louisiana-Lafayette, Washington, Louisiana Tech
Oklahoma- Miami, rest not released
just for kicks here are some others
Ole miss-Louisiana Lafayette,Memphis
Oregon- Boise State, Purdue Utah
Ohio state- Navy, USC, Toledo, New Mexico State
Cincinnati- Fresno State, Oregon State, two open dates
Virginia Tech- Marshall, Nebraska, Alabama, East Carolina.
I mean come on, if the SEC and Big 12 schools aren’t going to play quality OOC opponents (exception of Bama) we can never settle this endless debate of who’s better.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:51 pm
Poor-man’s Jacobs, maybe. Jacobs is 6-4, 270 pounds. I covered the guy in college and could not believe NFL scouts were not slobbering over him. I mean, if they can find Flacco in fucking Delaware, how could they not see this man child destroying I-AA defenses? Guy is a freak. Most impressive athlete I’ve seen in person. Well…recently. Jordan in his prime was untouchable.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:52 pm
Oh, I will definitely be drafting him next year in fantasy.
And so much for TEX having any claim to the title.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:52 pm
TBL you are getting your ass kicked. WTF?
January 5th, 2009 at 9:54 pm
Not worth trying, TBL. KSK will win, just like every year. Not sure how a site with so few posts can win it every year, but whatever. I don’t really care who wins.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:54 pm
i was afraid of this. it could be worse if they stop taking pryor out.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:54 pm
i think wells could be, best case scenario, a brandon jacobs-type back.
TBL I agree and WOrst case Scenerio is a Steven Davis type back.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:55 pm
I can only vote once man.
This one tree hill show came back with a bang.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:56 pm

Lucas Scott’s gonna be a daddy!
January 5th, 2009 at 9:59 pm
Nah, Brooke lost sam, found her, beat the shit out of the guy who beat the shit out of her, and almost shot him. They found Q’s wallet in his apartment after the arrest… Damn. One big as circle.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:59 pm
And Lucas went to bat for Julian to keep him on as producer. Weird.
January 5th, 2009 at 10:00 pm
Seems like a few lawyers or law students here. Mole are you in school or practicing?
January 5th, 2009 at 10:01 pm
They need to bring back Quentin Fields.
Quentin Fields > LeBron > Kobe
/CW’d
January 5th, 2009 at 10:03 pm
VT has one of the, if not the best OOC schedules. I hope everyone remembers that when we are 12-1 next year.
January 5th, 2009 at 10:05 pm
Road games at Ohio State and Notre Dame are laughable?
January 5th, 2009 at 10:09 pm
go bucks
January 5th, 2009 at 10:10 pm
I just got here. GG talk seems to be a little late tonight, isn’t it? Wake me when it’s over (talking GG is like duffy throwing up a soccer post). Judging by the score, the 1st half of the game must have sucked.
TBL: I voted for you, but only once. KSK must have someone from Chicago voting (early and often). isn’t there a geek or here (I mean a talented commentator who knows software) who can rig about 1,000 votes for you from various IP addresses?
My computer knowledge is like sex: I can talk a little game, but can’t produce when it counts w/out a little help from my friends
January 5th, 2009 at 10:12 pm
Yes, for USC, Notre Dame is laughable
January 5th, 2009 at 10:15 pm
Let McCoy run then.
January 5th, 2009 at 10:16 pm
Pacers @ Nuggets. 70-74. At the half. just thought nobody would like to know
January 5th, 2009 at 10:16 pm
TBL: I saw that Drew Magary was asking people to vote for them in that poll via his facebook status.
January 5th, 2009 at 10:16 pm
mccoy is the gheyness
January 5th, 2009 at 10:17 pm
I meant outside of a few schools. Maybe you should read the whole comment. It was more of a dig at the Big 12 and SEC. But I forgot that we can’t have a civil discussion about college football without PAC 10 people getting their panties in a bunch.
January 5th, 2009 at 10:19 pm
Every non Pac10 team is laughable for USC, but they’re still an above average nonconference opponent. On the road.
January 5th, 2009 at 10:20 pm
These announcers are beyond disgusting.
January 5th, 2009 at 10:21 pm
fucking fuck.jjkdfuckfuck
January 5th, 2009 at 10:22 pm
Yes, for USC, Notre Dame is laughable
I love piling on ND as much as the next guy, but I am NOT looking forward to the day if/when they are good and relevant again. Their fans will be out in force worse than ever, making Jets fans of about 6 weeks ago sound humble. They have been taking a pounding, and if any of these “5 star” recruiting classes ever produces, we will see ego on a level never before witnessed on this Earth.

spencer: Sorry for you, but tOSU and my “old” Bills are too much alike. They play well and then shit the bed in the big game, except when they lucked out on “the U” with the interference call 20 seconds after the play.
I feel your pain, believe me.
January 5th, 2009 at 10:55 pm
