Playoffs!?!? Eagles-Giants Second-Half
NFL January 11th. 2009, 2:53pm
Now this is the shootout we’ve been waiting for. As we start the second half (with a turnover) the Eagles are up 10-8 on the defending champions.
Both Eli and Donovan have complete half of their passes for less than 100 yards and an interception. We’ve seen a touchdown on a 2 yard drive, 3 field goals and a safety.
The heros of the second half should be the kickers. And perhaps one of the running backs – Brandon Jacobs has 49 yards on 9 carries, Westbrook just 11 yards on the same number of carries.
Now let’s settle in for plenty of Akers, Carney, Feagles and Rocca. This is what the playoffs are all about, baby!

Wow…the Giants absolute lack of pass rush is KILLING them in this game. Very similar to what happened to the Colts in last year’s playoffs. You lose your premier pass rusher (Osi/Freeney) but still have a great regular season, only to see his loss magnified when your other pass rusher (Tuck/Mathis) is playing on one leg. In the playoffs, if the other QB continually has eight seconds to throw, you’re fucked.

Eagles punch it in here and the Giants are in deep trouble. Having to make up a 10-point deficit in the Meadowlands wind with no kicker to speak of is a tall order. Let’s just all hope this upset streak doesn’t continue on into the late game and Marmalard somehow knocks off the Steelers. Although this football fan didn’t consider the Ravens beating the Titans an upset.

is Arizona equipped to host an NFC Championship game?

Not sure. Have to ask someone who attended the Super Bowl last year.

Oh lord. An Eagles-Steelers Super Bowl. Would it be wrong to root for a nuclear warhead to strike Raymond James Stadium on that Sunday? No. Good.

Giants throwing in the towel. Why keep picking up 10 yards with Ward when you can have Jacobs take 3 seconds to get going downhill before running into his blocker

Good for Andy Reid but that’s about it. Fuck the Eagles.
