If You Thought the Football Night in America Set Was Crowded, Wait Until Sunday’s Pregame Show
Media Gossip/Musings, NFL January 27th. 2009, 4:15pm
Are there really going to be 11 different talking heads on NBC’s Super Bowl pregame show?
Bob Costas, Cris Collinsworth, Jerome Bettis, Tiki Barber, Keith Olbermann, Dan Patrick, Peter King, Matt Millen, Mike Holmgren, Tony Dungy and Rodney Harrison. Whew.
We’re just glad we don’t watch it. Not a minute. Fans have had two weeks to collect information and dissect it. Can the pre-game show really tell us anything new?
NBC doesn’t feel sheepish about adding to the Super Bowl herd? What the flock (Farther off the Wall)

Wait, so Andrea Kramer is really shorter than Costas?

I hope there are two tables, like CNN during the election, and that midget can walk back and forth while Peter King gets text messages from Brett Farve and Bettis gets calls about his food being delivered. Can Dungy baptize someone on set.

I’m with Coop. They might as well just go all out and make it a full on circus. I might watch it if that happened.

Hand check for Mr Collinsworth. Looks like an attempted backhanded reach-around to Keith.

Who exactly is Collinsworth trying to feel up? Bus or KO?

I’ve got the Puppy Bowl for all my pregame needs.

You really want to watch Peter King in a diaper swatting down airplanes?

And why does Costas have to pose like he’s Marty McFly?

Yep. Sure, there would be the nightmares and counseling and drug therapies for years after, but if it livens up a pre-game show, I’m willing to a hit for all NFL fans out there like myself that haven’t sat through a pregame show in 10 years.

Weed and coffee prevent Alzheimers. For once Ohio State does something useful.

When does Peter King find time to do football stuff between his time at Cheers?

I thought Bellichek was joining them as well.
