You Might Be Surprised Who Leads the NBA in Attendance
1-liner, NBA January 29th. 2009, 1:00pmNBA: The Pistons are tops in attendance this season; the Kings are last. Overall, league attendance is up 0.9 percent, which isn’t bad in a recession/depression. Sacramento has had a massive drop in attendance – it is down 11.9 percent. At the other end of the spectrum, the Hornets and Chris Paul are a major draw – attendance is up 38 percent. (Sports Business Journal)

Kobe has the best selling jersey. Not bad considering all the bad press he received in the past over the rape charges

So much for all those naysayers who wanted the Hornets to stay in OKC or keep predicting their eventual departure for greener grounds.

BFF, OKC is drawing 2,000 more per game. You think Shinn wouldn’t rather have that?

I think Shinn would take a widow’s last dime if she held it up. That’s got nothing to do with it.
All Hornets fans have heard is that the team would do better anywhere but New Orleans, which is ridiculous. Attendance isn’t the end-all/be-all — it’s why the Hawks can stay in the ATL during years of drawing less than 8K a game.
The Hornets are putting a good contender out there with an MVP-caliber player in CP3. They drew a lot of attention last year with their postseason run. They are making themselves New Orleans’ team after a long, long time.

Bffredo is right. The Hornets are not going any where. Its the Saints that are going to LA.

Any post about moving my Saints out of my Superdome is both racist and terror-related. Also, it seems to be a personal attack and I demand it to be removed!
