Breaking: Phil Mushnick Finds Something Positive to Say About ESPN!
1-liner, ESPN, Media Gossip/Musings February 2nd. 2009, 1:30pmMushnick: Lots of ESPN bashing in his latest column, but he actually said something really nice about Greg Garber! “Perhaps yesterday’s best Super Bowl pregame feature appeared five hours before kickoff – Greg Garber’s ESPN piece on the Steelers’ wacky radio announcer Myron Cope, who died in February.” Less kind words are reserved for Mike Patrick and ESPN management. i think it contains voodoo dolls of the following:
don imus, john sterling, mike francesa, chris russo, craig carton, joe benigno, steven a. smith, al sharpton, jim dolan (though he’s been rather silent about dolan of late), sid rosenberg, stuart scott and a lifesize doll of vince mcmahon.
the funny thing is, he must love stern. i don’t think i’ve ever read a column where he took apart stern and lord knows there’s ample ammunition (in muchnick’s mind) to do so.
i think — but i’m not sure — mushnick has been on stern’s show.

he’s got a damned good point there. how many guys making, say, $40k are losing their jobs just because they can throw, say, a half-million at edwards? nothing against herm, but will anyone really turn to bspn just because herm is there?
