If You’ll Work With ESPN, It’ll Work With You
1-liner, College Football, ESPN February 16th. 2009, 10:30amESPN Hearts Missouri: “Missouri’s agreement to move this fall’s Nebraska game to a Thursday night apparently will lead to more exposure for the Tigers than just that ESPN time slot, according to Mizzou football coach Gary Pinkel. In exchange for playing the teams’ Big 12 opener Oct. 8 — five days later than originally scheduled — Mizzou will get two more games televised nationally by ESPN in the first five games, Pinkel said.” (Husker Extra)

This would have been a great idea for them last year. This year, not so much.

Thats too bad, seeing as Mizzou will be returning to their traditional non-factor loser status without Maclin and
ChubbyChase. Congrats on being overrated the past few years though.February 16th, 2009 at 10:48 am
Mizzou sucks. More Oklahoma State please. They should fire Gundy too.

Is this what it’s going to take to get the effing UCONN games off ESPNU?

Here’s to hoping Blaine Gabbert lives up to the hype. I’m a Mizzou grad, and watching my team embarrass itself on national television that many times doesn’t sound like it’ll be that much fun.

1. ESPN has a ton of Mizzou grads
2. Missouri is going to go to a bowl game again and very realistically could be 4-1 or 5-0 in those first five games. Illinois is a toss up, but Missouri has had the upper hand recently, they should beat Nevada, they will beat the two nonconference patsies they will have at home, and Nebraska really isn’t all that good, and it’s at home.
So while Missouri won’t be as good as 2007, a repeat of 2008 isn’t out of the question.
