Matt Cassel To The Chiefs

Everyone’s favorite Pigsplosive Ladykiller Matt Cassel has been traded to Kansas City. Per Pro Football Talk: “Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the deal is done — Cassel has been traded from the Patriots to the Chiefs.”
So, now that Brady is married and doomed to continue on the down slope of his career (/science), the Patriots have gone and traded the most coveted backup QB since Elvis Grbac.
Update: Cassel’s $14-point-something Million 1-year deal remains in tact until the Chiefs can negotiate a long-term deal. The details of the deal aren’t yet clear, but all that Franchise Tag money has come off the Pats’ salary cap.

Matt Schaub goes for 2 2nd round picks… but Vrabel has to get thrown in with Cassel to get 1 2nd round pick? What the hell is this?

Must be a bittersweet moment for Tom Brady. Only a few days after Giselle makes him an honest woman, his best friend and some time bed buddy gets traded across the country. At least he knows he gets to start again.

this is a $$$$ issue for the pats. clear up some cap space and obviously they plan on being active in free agency
