I know you meant this sarcastically, but it really is a “tad” of a difference.

As JPQ says, Buffalo and NYC are like two different states entirely.

You do know that Buffalo is 400 miles away from NYC, right? That’s it is closer to Indiana than NYC? And that Buffalo’s median housing price is one of the lowest in the country (less than $100K right now, vs still over $300K in NYC area). They are like two different states, believe me.

Besides, telling me that that same house is less than $589,000 where you live pretty much ends the argument. If Buffalo is such a bad place to live, it must be even less desirable to live where you are if it costs less.
