Which Chase Will Be Drafted First?
1-liner, NFL Draft March 9th. 2009, 9:45amThe New Matt Cassel: His name is Chase Patton. He backed up Chase Daniel at Missouri. Patton threw a grand total of 31 passes in his college career (256 yards!) and yet he was still on the cover of ESPN the Mag once. (Columbia Daily Trib)

One slight difference between the two: Cassel couldn’t beat out two Heisman Trophy winners and top 12 draft picks, while Patton couldn’t beat out a soon to be undrafted QB who this year was, at best, the 4th best QB in his own conference

Maybe daniels was just better suited for the spread offense as opposed to patton who seems like a more traditional drop back type quaterback. I say that only as a theory and the fact that patton is a taller guy.

I hate when I see this argument. It makes me think that the scout is either a former player who thinks pounding the ball out of the I-formation 50 times a game is the only way to win; or it’s someone who didn’t play in college.
Was Brady lacking football soul when he had to split time with Drew Henson and didn’t make a stink about it?
