How is Clark Kellogg Doing So Far?
1-liner, College Basketball, Media Gossip/Musings March 25th. 2009, 10:45amClark Kellogg: Now that he’s been vaulted into the top college hoops analyst spot, Norman Chad helps readers decipher some of Kellogg’s jargon. “Kellogg: ‘Duke has done a masterful job of controlling pace and tempo.’ Chad: For some reason, ‘pace and tempo’ always go together, you know, like Tango & Cash. Kellogg: ‘He gets a little pseudo-penetration.’ Chad: It’s the illusion of penetration. Kellogg: ‘You’ve got to find him, then you feel him, then you take him for a ride.’ Chad: I’m not quite sure he was still talking basketball here. (Couch Slouch)

For my money, the only funnier than a Tango and Cash joke is an ex-wife joke.

Chad is hilarious, in print. Kellogg needs to pay attention to Nantz, less is more. Although nothing will ever top Nantz’s reference to Roy Williams as the new “Dean” at the University of North Carolina.

My cat is better than Billy Packer; that’s how little I think of him. I like Kellogg, but I really wish Lundquist and Raftery were the A team.
