Jacksonville’s Wide Receivers Can’t Catch Passes, but They Sure Can Get in Trouble
1-liner, Courts, Legal, Drugs, NFL April 6th. 2009, 12:50pmReggie Williams: The former Jaguars WR was arrested on a felony drug charge this weekend. He was tasered, too. “Mr. Williams was at the front door area causing some sort of altercation. A witness alerted one of the officers to it. The officer went over and asked Mr. Williams several times to leave. He refused. At one point, the officer attempted to escort him out of club. Mr. Williams pushed the officer and almost knocked him down. At that point, the other officer came over to try and assist. Again, Mr. Williams was very combative. One (officer) had to deploy a (taser) to get into custody.” Being combative while carrying drugs? The Jags are totally the new Bengals (this sticks even though Williams recently became a free agent). Well, he’s a free agent, so technically he’s not a Jaguar. And this gives me the inkling they’re not going to resign him. Doubt anyone takes a chance on him until this clears over.

A former Washington Husky got into trouble? No way!

Calling him a Jaguars wide receiver is completely wrong. The Jaguars were sick of his act and let him go as a free agent, and this is actually his second arrest since then (the other charge was dropped, I think it was a dui with possession.)
So calling the Jaguars the new Bengals is like criticizing the Bengals if Boomer Esiason got busted.

well not really – the jags have (i believe) had the 1st or 2nd most arrests in the last five years. the bengals are right there at the top.
