I have no clue how to feel about Ben Gordon, sometimes I watch him play and think he’s a cold blooded scoring machine with a sweet shot, other times he’s a selfish chucker who forces up a lot of bad/contested shots and kills any offensive flow because he doesn’t pass the ball.

He’s both, because he’s so streaky. When he’s on, he’s the former; when he’s off, he’s the latter.

On balance, I’ve always thought Gordon was a pretty useless player, especially considering where he was drafted and the kinds of salary demands he makes. “Let’s see…you’re a poor ball handler, you can’t create your own shot, your defense is an abortion…sure, you deserve $15 million a year!”

I agree with some of that, but the reality is the many of them are idiots, most of them aren’t geniuses but are smart enough to take care of their business, and a small minority are actually intelligent.

Regardless of what the degree is, if you can manage to play basketball at the professional level (which requires a lot of dedication) and still obtain a degree, its an achievement. Kobe’s probably the biggest nerd, and he didn’t even go to college. Grant Hill, Vince Carter, Chris Bosh..these are all well-spoken dude. Don’t let KG’s motherfucker rsant or Nate Robinson acting like juniour 50 Cent (I fuckin HATE that guy) let you believe otherwise.
