Ricky Hatton’s Corner Sure is Confident
1-liner, Boxing April 21st. 2009, 11:30amBoxing: Ricky Hatton fights Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd in Vegas. “There is nothing to worry about,” Hatton’s trainer said. “The only thing I’m worried about is if there will be an ambulance to take (Pacquiao’s) ass to the hospital. He’s a southpaw. We’re going to be the northpaw. We are going to beat him. We are the northpaw. He’s the southpaw. Do you understand what I’m saying?” (Review Journal)

Do you understand what I’m saying?â€
Not yet. It usually takes me a good five minutes to understand what a Limey is saying. Keep talking.

Floyd Mayweather Sr. is a black dude, and his appearances on HBO’s 24/7 series are incredibly entertaining. Last week they showed him going through the Taco Bell drive thru window. Hilarious. If only the fights they promote lived up to the standard set by the series. It’s excellent. I still think Pacman’s too fast for Hatton. Only way Hatton wins is to crumple his body early and slow him down.

Oi! we gonna make him Jimmy in his whistle. that battle cruiser is going to be brown bread when ol’ northpaw is done with him. he’s going one’s and two’s rhythm and shoes over his loaf.

That’s Mayweather Sr. for you, saying stuff that we don’t really comprehend, but makes complete sense.

Hatton has no chance…. let me count the ways in which Pacquiao is better than Hatton: Harder punches, faster punches, better conditioning, better overall lifestyle, hungrier, saves talking for the ring, truly motivated to be the best, tougher jaw, better footwork. Did I miss anything.

I don’t really understand but it sure does remind me of my childhood.

Does anybody else think Pacman is kind of a dick for making the 10 members of his team all sleep in one bedroom while he gets one all to himself? I realize he’s the meal ticket and that’s the setup they’re used to, but couldn’t he spring for a three-bedroom condo instead of a two? Roach’s gym isn’t in the best part of LA, the rents can’t be too astronomical around there.

Im taking Hatton in an upset.
/never seen a boxing match

I think you pretty much covered it. I certainly wouldn’t bet on Hatton. Only way he can win is to somehow have developed lightning-quick defense in the past three months and to beat Pacquaio up on his body early.

better lifestyle?
I guess, if you value fighting off assassination attempts every day.

spencer: That cockney accent is the shit at the Ryder Cup, though. I was at two (Oak Hill, The Country Club), and drank with a bunch of those guys. Great atmosphere!

hatton is going to get destroyed, Pacman can take a beating so Hatton won’t be able to wear him down, and Pac has a lot more power behind his punches and is to quick. These are my 2 favorite fighters right now, but this one will get ugly because hatton won’t back down.

You r a boxer that came from nothing to amass great wealth in a profession because of your own determination. These guys had nothing to do with that. They do things that you could pay professionals to do and not have to worry about hangers on. You can’t let these guys have any type of luxuries. The other option for his boys is to live in complete poverty. Once yous tart spoiling them, they will want more. For more information on today’s lesson of how to treat your entourage when you make it big, see: Tyson, Mike or Hammer, MC.
