Overpriced Tickets, Too Many Homers and Now No Respect for Former Yankees or Broadcasters
1-liner, Baseball, Media Gossip/Musings May 5th. 2009, 4:00pmDraconian New Yankee Stadium: The bad PR continues – Paul O’Neil was told to get out of the Yankees batting cage, and his wife wasn’t allowed in the stadium’s “wives room” – it’s for current wives only. And the jerks weren’t nice to some Angels broadcasters, either. (NYDN)

I’m guessing the schadenfreude will continue all season.

OT: But this is just awesome. This just in!
“I’m also told by the experts in the control room who have watched all of this that the president wanted fries, they didn’t have them, so he tried the potato puffs.”

This is worse than the time they wouldn’t give Shooter McGavin his field pass, and worse than Hitler.

that is FANTASTIC Mike. I assume potato puffs are similar to tater tots? alliteration aside.

dude, if George had his wits about him, there is no way anyone gets away with telling “the Warrior” that stuff.

@sparty: They’d be fired on the spot.

I can’t wait for someone to tell Reggie that he can’t do something. then you know things are really fucked up.

You eat pieces of crap for dinner?

Eat some hay? Down by the bay? What do you say?

That writer has a big problem with “quotes”.

do the cops have to pay for the frequency as well.
something tells me this practice would interest the fcc.
May 5th, 2009 at 4:25 PM
And don’t forget the fact they would not let patrons back into the stadium after a few security folks told them the game last night would be rained out.
May 5th, 2009 at 4:26 PM
Hey, why don’t I just go eat some hay, make things out of clay, lay by the bay?
May 5th, 2009 at 4:35 PM
this is all Hal’s doing. He was the last one to get back involved with the organization. He originally was not going to be the guy. It was going to be George’s daughters former fiance and Hank.
May 5th, 2009 at 4:36 PM
Me too.
May 5th, 2009 at 4:37 PM
Paul O’Neil probably broke the virtual water cooler, that fuckin baby.
May 5th, 2009 at 4:58 PM
O’Neil was over rated anyway, they’re just calling him out on it. Get your number retired first, then come back and hit in the cages while your wife goes in the Wive’s club.

Quit your whining — Mike Francessa was defending the Yankees today on his show go figure — East Coast sports radio really sucks, but hey I guess it’s time for satellite radio or podcasts. This is just long overdue justice for the Evil Empire within a city long overdue for more of it as well short of more tragedy to that decreasing number those who are not douchebags.
