Report: Now Favre’s Staying Retired?

Yahoo Sports is reporting that Brett Favre chatted with Vikings coach Brad Childress within the last day and told him he’d like to stay retired. We have no comment, since the news is likely to change in two hours or tomorrow. Still, Vikings fans would be wise to acclimate themselves with that Sage fellow.

As much as I dislike the Favre-gate that every offseason has become, I would have definitely preferred to see Favre starting than what the Vikes currently have.

How is this a surprise? There was absolutley nothing to any of the comeback talk. The only people who talked about it were ESPN, because Favre is still a ratings cow.
