So is Michael Beasley Already Done in Miami?
1-liner, NBA May 7th. 2009, 5:30pmMichael Beasley: It seems preposterous, but the Miami media is already talking about trading the underwhelming rookie. He averaged a modest 13.9 points and 5.9 rpg, and the rebounding numbers could be a problem for a guy who wants to play PF in the NBA. One of the big knocks on him this season was that he appeared to have shrunk – he’s listed as 6-foot-10 and was a man among boys in college … but he played like a timid 6-foot-7 tweener at times. His off-the-court behavior didn’t help matters. Nor did the Derrick Rose showing against the Celtics in the first round.

He was listed at 6-10 in college too but was closer to 6-7. If the Heat were too stupid to realize that before they drafted him then they deserve what they get.

What? A 6-7 to 6-10 guy from the top of the draft getting traded? Never!

Those damn Miami doctors and their old school height measuring technique. The “he looks about…” technique isnt as mistake free as once thought. They made a fortune at the local carnivals back in the day.

He seems to have a lot of Derrick Coleman in him. All the talent in the world, just doesn’t seem to give a fuck.

14 and 6 for a rookie isn’t terrible by any means.

actually duder they sent a about 6′8 dude in there and had them stand back to back to find out just how tall he really was. the dude came back and with his hand he put it up above his head and said “about this high…”

Too easy.

Bryant Reeves agrees…
It’s not bad if he’s a late pick. It’s not what you would want from a top 2 pick. He hasn’t stepped up at all since Marion left.

What? You mean a drug bust already at the rookie program wasn’t a promising prognosis?

He’s garbage. He adds nothing to the team. I hope they trade him, because I got sick of seeing him throw up bad jump shots and turn the ball over in the playoffs.
