He’s a pussy.

I don’t think Peavy would waive his no trade clause to go to a team that is 5 games under right now, and what the hell do the Sox have in their farm system that would even remotely interest the Padres? It has to be Beckham plus someone.

I like. As long as Beckham isn’t going to San Diego. I like. Sox need pitching. He’s 27.

He’s a bitch about his trade clause. He’s afraid of getting smoked in the AL. Definitely not what you want in a supposed ace.

Had to update this about a minute before it ran. Here was the original blog post we were going to run.

He’s a good pitcher made very good to great by his league and his home ballpark.

Peavy wouldn’t want to go to a team that has struggled but still very much in the Central race… all the while he’s on the worst team in baseball not named the Washington Neo-Cons?
May 21st, 2009 at 10:46 AM
so who are the white sox giving up?
May 21st, 2009 at 10:46 AM
Feel free to look up which team has a better record right now.
All I’m saying is that supposedly he was wavering on whether or not to agree to a Cubs trade if it ever came about, so him waiving it for the White Sox is no slam dunk.

The only not-gay White Sox fan on earth says Poreda, Richard and two PTBNL’s

Is this his last year before free agency? If so, he won’t really command as much in a trade as most think.
May 21st, 2009 at 10:52 AM
Nick: He is guaranteed 60 mil through 2012
May 21st, 2009 at 10:53 AM
Thanks, CK. Don’t know what I was thinking.

Blogs: Where arguing that the Padres are better than the White Sox can happen.

Remember, this is the AL Central we are talking about….
May 21st, 2009 at 10:56 AM
Haha I’m not saying they’re better, I’m just saying they have a better record. They both suck so it’s not like it matters.
Supposedly the two hang-ups are Peavy doesn’t want to go to the AL, and Peavy doesn’t want to play for Ozzie Guillen.
May 21st, 2009 at 11:00 AM
I’d disagree. He’s a top 10 pitcher, imo. That’s very good, however you slice it.
May 21st, 2009 at 11:06 AM
If Peavy doesn’t want to play for Ozzie, I don’t want him either.
As for the Pads… I saw them last week when they were at Wrigley. I counted one major league hitter in that line up. What a disgrace that line up is.
And why would Peavy want to stay in the NL? He’s got to be one of the worst hitting pitchers in the game.
May 21st, 2009 at 11:07 AM
Take him out of PETCO. Take him out of the NL. Look at his away splits. Is he still top ten?
May 21st, 2009 at 11:09 AM
Yeah. If you look at league and park normalized numbers, he’s been just fine.

It’s official, pending Peavy waiving the no-trade clause

Peavy may be a good pitcher, but when you consider he is going from the lowest scoring team in the MLB, to the third lowest scoring team in the MLB, how much of a difference is he going to make with only slightly more run support?
May 21st, 2009 at 11:52 AM
Has Peavey pitched at the Cell yet?
His era is going to double.

With all due respect to one of my fave posters, Tampa Bo… FUCK THE WHITE SOX. I hate them more than anything in the world, even terrorists.
Hawk Harrelson can be kidnapped by said terrorists and given the choice to eat fat AJ Pierzynski’s runny shit with a spoon or be executed. He’ll eat the shit and be executed anyway. God what a fucking fuck.
I’m sorry.

YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD YES!!!!!!!!!!
He Gone.

Who hates White Sox fans? There are like 75,000 of us and the only thing we’ve ever done is attack an ump once (and Cub fans). I never knew Sox haters existed.
May 21st, 2009 at 12:32 PM
Cubs fans hate us. and other random fools.
May 21st, 2009 at 12:40 PM
Peavy doesn’t want to play for Ozzie Guillen.
who does?
May 21st, 2009 at 12:41 PM
I’d rather have a sister who works in a whorehouse than a brother who’s a Cub fan
- White Sox fan, Gunner, of B&T fame, talking about one of the phrases on his t-shirts …

Damnit, Bo. You had to go and do that.
Look, White Sox fans might be alright. I don’t know. If there was no such thing as Hawk Harrelson, AJ Pierzynski, Jim Thome, Paul Konerko… aw, fuck it, I’d still hate the White Sox.
I am not a Cubs fan.
May 21st, 2009 at 1:26 PM
White Sox would like to apologize for this interuption and will not continue their sucky season. No deal.

I don’t blame him for not wanting to play with those goat fuckers (no Cubs pun intended).
