Artie Lange is an otherworldly db.

How did Joe Buck get this show?
And why would Paul Rudd go on it?
June 16th, 2009 at 7:27 AM
TG – His HS buddy went to Kansas and was roommates with Rudd. they go back like 20 years.
Buck got the show … because he’s loved by the suits in the industry?

To quote something I rad early this morning, Lange hijacked the show. If I didn’t know him from a hole in the wall and last night was the first introduction I had to Artie, I would have thought him the biggest a-hole ever.

So wait, this wasn’t on TV, only on HBO.com? Can anybody get this or do you need an HBO subscription?

“no. 4: the show you won’t get to.”
love it!

a little defensive about attacking the Stern gravy train.
i prefer the stealth comedy to the bludgeon with club variety.
Rudd is a funny muthaf*cker.

Artie out of a cannon, again, still hasn’t gotten used to not being wasted on H. Didn’t see the show but I imagine it was more of the same.

imagine how awful that would have been without artie?
you grew up in kansas city?
you were a steelers fan?
you met larry brown?
uh, yeah.

hes not that bad.

You should get satellite radio. He’s on the uncensored comedy channel all the time.

Artie Lange was absolutely terrible. I didn’t watch the show because I find Joe Buck to be insufferable, but watched this clip under the impression that Artie “slayed”…he certainly did not, he was defensive, obnoxious, and worst of all, not funny.

Fat, drunk, & stupid is no way to go through life!

Artie def hijacked the show. I don’t really enjoy Artie, but at least on Stern, Howard can reign him in when he starts to get carried away. He was a total DB last night and was not funny. Not sure what the point was of the Overtime segment because the entire thing was extremely awkward thanks to Artie, and Rudd, Sedakis, and esp Joe Buck looked uncomfortable.
If TBL thinks Artie “slayed” the show, well, he certainly killed the whole segment.

how can anyone take anyone that was a cast member on madtv seriously?
June 16th, 2009 at 9:53 AM
Lange didn’t “slay” anything. It was completely uncool to take a shot at Sedakis for being on SNL. The name Artie Lange couldn’t be said in the same breath as some of the big names that have come from SNL. That “Dude. I’m from Jersey, watch what the fuck you are saying.” – comment was pretty typical… from a guy from New Jersey. Rudd should have stepped in with something once Lange tried to big-league over how money he made.
June 16th, 2009 at 9:56 AM
zeke – but didn’t he only make make a joke after Sedakis made the Stern reference?
Rudd’s best step in was the Pierre business.
June 16th, 2009 at 11:06 AM
Artie acted like a douche first with Sedakis when he told him to watch what the fuck he was saying. It wasn’t even a direct joke at Artie. What made me cringe was that he said sorry. I wouldn’t tell that hack sorry. I didn’t know fat, slow, alcoholic dudes were intimidating enough to appologize to. Like I said on another post, Lange is just like Farley and Belushi, except not funny. The dude was on MadTv. Seriously. Artie Lange wouldn’t have tried to intimidate some badass athlete if they were on stage? You think he would have been up there saying fuck the Cowboys if Leonard Davis were there?

Amen brotha!

Yeah Lange is a complete nobody in the comedy world in my opinion. Dude isn’t funny, isn’t clever, and never has been. Just because he acts like a dick everywhere he goes doesn’t change that. He belongs on Stern, clearly, because that’s what his show is. It’s all for the shock value. But beyond that, Lange doesn’t offer much.

People can crap on Artie Lange, but yet he’s invited on shows…he’s more interesting than Joe Buck by half and I’d watch an Artie Lange show, just to see how big a train wreck it’d be. Artie is honest…..might not be smooth but he’s honest……and a bigger question, why the hell does someone as boring as Joe Buck have a show on HBO?
